🙌🏻On this day 23 years ago, the first stone was laid for the construction of the ALMA observatory.
✨ALMA officials and partners gathered on the Chajnantor Plateau, at an altitude of 5,000m in the Atacama Desert, the site where ALMA installed its 66 antennas.

📡We recently revealed the irregular surface of Betelgeuse, the famous red supergiant in the constellation Orion.
⭐️The observations show bright hot spots and an irregular, corrugated outline, shaped by the enormous movements taking place inside the Star.
