Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth lashed out at Democrats seeking to impeach him following the midterm elections, accusing his political opponents of using impeachment as a tool to undermine the Trump administration.
Calling the articles of impeachment against him a "sham," Hegseth compared the effort to previous attempts to impeach President Trump, accusing Democrats of engaging in "political theater" and the "politics of personal destruction." Hegseth also defended the administration's war with Iran following Republican losses in the midterm elections.
