Beau had a great time with the people at Travis Club on his latest visit to Austin. With grass starting to grow in, the course is coming together. We cannot wait to unveil this stunning course to its membership later this year.
Ten Years Ago Today
I have been fortunate to witness many amazing moments in golf but perhaps THE coolest one happened ten years ago today at the grand opening of The Playgrounds at Bluejack National.
Links Magazine has rated The Swing at PGA Frisco as one of the top short courses in the United States.
@PGA
"At the heart of the PGA of America’s new home in Frisco, The Swing is a lighted 10‑hole par‑3 short course—meaning you can beat the heat and tee it up long after the sun goes down. It sits alongside other entertainment offerings, including The Dance Floor putting course, Topgolf simulators, and live hitting bays at the Ice House restaurant." - Megan Dresser

Stowe Country Club will reopen in July following a two year renovation (completing 9 holes at a time). The renovation sought to improve playability, course strategy, and aesthetics. The work included routing adjustments within primarily existing hole corridors to accomplish renovation goals as well as further enhance walkability, playability, and safety.

Was that golf architect and Tiger Woods confidant Beau Welling at the Olympics? golfweek.usatoday.com/story/…
All of the grass has been laid down at Travis Club as the course has taken shape. 18 holes are set to open this summer outside of Austin, TX on Lake Travis.
Really enjoyed our time with the
members and team at Hurricane Creek. We're seeing
great progress and are very excited about the future.
Had a great visit with our friends at
Long Cove in Malakoff, Texas. The shaping for their 15

Beau was at @TGL last night watching @WeAreLAGC take on @JupiterLinksGC. Very cool to watch Tour players interact with your designs.

Oak Marsh at Omni Amelia Island has been named the Best Private Resort Course Renovation by Sports Illustrated.
"With all 18 greens rebuilt and new wall-to-wall turf and irrigation, playability and conditioning are the best they’ve been in five decades. Credit Welling for retaining the best of what Dye did so memorably—emphasizing the proper angle into the greens and propping up several holes with Dye’s signature railroad ties—but for also infusing the layout with his own sensibilities, meaning more short grass, a reduction in trees and less penal bunkers." -Sports Illustrated (Joe Passov)
Oak Marsh now sits alongside Little Sandy, a 10-hole par-3 course, and an 18-hole putting course — both Beau Welling creations — that weave through a lowland marsh environment and offer members and resort guests an inviting short-course counterpoint.
