Mark Cuban's take on the next job wave deserves more attention than it's getting. His argument: software as we know it is dying. Generic SaaS gets replaced by AI customized to how each business actually operates. The question then becomes, who builds and deploys that for the 33 million companies in the US that can't do it themselves? That's the market. Not AI for enterprises with 500-person eng teams. The other 99%. SMBs don't have CTOs. They don't have prompt engineers. They need someone to sit across the table, understand their workflow, and wire up an AI system that fits it. That's a services business. Probably the largest one this decade. We broke this down step by step in Product Market Fit: productmarketfit.tech/p/mark…

Ethereum's superpowers: - credible neutrality - censorship resistance - self-custody - reliability -- 11 years non-stop uptime - guaranteed execution of well-formed transactions and smart contract-based programs Ethereum is rigorously decentralized protocol-based trustware. Centralized crypto is a stepping stone to aa properly decentralized future.

before ai, the brightest young minds were all over bitcoin. i think they'll come back to it. a zero percent return with a 50% drawdown on the way is a deal not many humans on the planet would take, and if the best minds looking at the data are right, that's the s&p's next 10 years. so the answer, i think, is more risk. the four quadrants i look at, and the one rule about when to commit, are in this film.

Just how close is Restore Britain to some of Europe’s most extreme activists? More countries will start to realize that issuing a local stablecoin increases demand for their currency, and in-turn their government bonds. USD have a huge lead already.
JUST IN: @HSBC’s Hong Kong dollar stablecoin RedCoin hits 50,000 users in its first week, with HK$87.75M in circulation and plans to expand beyond PayMe to tokenized investment products.

Worth celebrating β€” and worth recognising what came before. Satoshi didn’t invent digital cash from a blank page. The whitepaper stands on shoulders: David Chaum’s eCash, @NickSzabo4’s Bit Gold, Wei Dai’s b-money, @adam3us’s Hashcash. Bitcoin was the breakthrough that worked. Recognition doesn’t shrink that β€” it honours the cypherpunks who made it possible. investopedia.com/tech/were-t…

If you borrow against wBTC, you're not borrowing against Bitcoin. You're borrowing against a token, with a custodian, contracts and a redemption path stacked on top of the loan. On Diamond Hands, your BTC stays native on Bitcoin L1 in its own isolated vault. No wrapping, no bridging. Here's the difference πŸ‘‡

The incoming foreign wave of low-skilled mass settlement and citizenship must be reversed. Restore Britain is today making these commitments to the British people. - We will abolish Indefinite Leave to Remain entirely. No further ILR grants will be permitted. - Revoke all existing ILR grants. A Restore Britain Parliament will legislate to terminate existing ILR permissions and, where appropriate, replace them with a system of time-limited visas, subject to the strict criteria contained in our immigration Red List. Those who don't meet that standard will leave. As previously stated, immigration from the third world into Britain will end. - Entirely end the routine pathway from temporary visas to citizenship - living or working in Britain will no longer provide a route to naturalisation. - Cancel naturalisation grants made from today onwards. We will introduce retrospective legislation to revoke every citizenship granted, as of today, under the existing immigration system. Put simply - the current naturalisation system has been subject to such widespread abuse and fraud, we no longer recognise it as legitimate. Following this, those individuals will again be subject to our Red List. - Going further than that, Restore Britain will create a dedicated body to review naturalisation grants going back decades, audit original applications, investigate fraudulent citizenship awards, assess the contribution made to our country and pursue deprivation wherever appropriate grounds are established. - There will be one exception to the proposed citizenship cancellation policy - citizenship obtained through marriage to a British citizen who was born in Britain with at least one parent also born in our country. - And crucially - we will enforce immigration departures. Where individuals have no lawful right to remain under the replacement system, departure and removal requirements will be enforced. Ending ILR is not enough. It will be too late - the consequence of ILR is citizenship, permanent citizenship. The staggering betrayal of the last Conservative Government must be undone. The sheer scale of numbers is impossible to fully comprehend. They will stay, they will claim benefits, they will live in social housing. They will be naturalised. They will get a passport. They will become β€˜British’. Most importantly - they will vote. It will cost us hundreds of billions. It will corrode our democracy. It will be the final end for our high-trust society. It cannot be allowed to happen. We will abolish ILR, end permanent settlement by default, and reverse the incoming wave of mass naturalisations. A Restore Britain Government will undo the damage. Not tolerate it, or manage it, or control it. Undo it.

as someone who works in the software industry in britain, i can't believe there are contracts and estimates like this. it seems getting these government contracts is incredibly lucrative in the uk, because the amounts are absolutely insane. Β£1.7bn to Β£4.4bn for hmrc's customer system? pre ai that's a crazy number. post ai it's still crazy. for a fraction of the cost you could hire britain's top 50 engineers and pay them Β£300k a year. over 15 years that's Β£225m. it would cost less and be way better than what will come out of this. put the rest into an ai lab and you'd have one of the best funded in europe. but no, it's an hmrc crm system lol.
HMRC's new customer system will cost somewhere between Β£1.7bn and Β£4.4bn. Give or take Β£2.7bn. Bold to buy software like it's 2015. The entire sovereign AI fund is Β£640m.
