We just released our biggest update to date, version 5 of the Evolution Platform.
It includes many significant changes, the foremost of which is shielded tokens! Once activated, you'll be able to mint and use tokens that leverage our state-of-the-art zero-knowledge privacy functionality.
Version 5 also massively overhauls our data contracts, giving more functionality for app developers: better login keys, better queries, built-in moderation and earning tools for contracts, and much more.
This is yet another step into making Dash one of the most evolved cryptocurrency projects on the market.

There's a pretty long list actually:
-Instant finality
-Hybrid security (higher cost to attack)
-Decentralized governance (a more evolved coinholder voting)
-Decentralized funding (like the dev fund except none of the problems that are being complained about now
-Decentralized application functionality (about to launch a social media with no back end server required)
-Shielded assets (1-second finality ZSA's on Dash)
-Strong adoption (I've been living unbanned off Dash for 10 years, I can't do that with Zcash yet)

Dash is probably the fastest, most secure way to send fully-private shielded payments based on Zcash's privacy tech.
I'm obviously a fan of Zcash, but let's be honest, speed and security are some of the biggest weak spots.
For years I've enjoyed the Dash experience of "in 1 second it's permanently irreversible." It's a major competitive advantage.
With Zcash, waiting ~25 seconds (after the new faster blocks are approved) to get some kind of security, then many minutes (at least) to be reasonably (but never fully) sure the transaction is finalized, isn't optimal.
And, having to worry about mining pool centralization (which was a big problem just recently) isn't optimal either. Both of those are what mainly keep me using Dash right now.
Crosslink looks to be a good step towards closing this gap.
If not Crosslink, another solution to get finality in Zcash much, much faster than we have right now should be proposed. "Nah it's fine now" isn't an option IMHO.
