My new music video for @juliacumming_'s 'My Life' single on @partisanrecords has been out for one week. It was a hugely fun one to put together. Please enjoy the FULL video here!
It's mostly one single shot (take 14, since you asked) and I couldn't even begin to make a vid like this without an AMAZING crew who worked their socks off. Full credits in previous posts and eternal thanks to them all.
Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from LAST NIGHT IN SOHO to celebrate its 5th anniversary this week. All stills by the great Parisa Taghizadeh.
Watching the film again on Sunday night was a powerful trip down memory lane in a number of ways. It made me think of the incredible cast and crew: we worked so hard, but had a lot of fun too. It also made me think of a different London—not just the London of the 1960s, but a pre-Covid capital, as we made the film just before (and partly during) the pandemic.
And of course, it made me think of two actors who are no longer with us: Dame Diana Rigg and Terence Stamp. Both legends, and both people I feel honoured to have known and have worked with.
(Now with music. Helps with a dance sequence!)
'Last Night In Soho' turns 5 this week. I'll post some behind the scenes photos in the next few days. But enjoy this breakdown of the 'Cafe De Paris' dance sequence with Anya Taylor Joy, Thomasin McKenzie and Matt Smith, choreographed by the great Jennifer White.
Too many amazing people worked on this film with me, and there are sequences (like this) that I'm insanely proud of. Shoutouts to Marcus Rowland for this incredible set, the genius DOP Chung-Hoon Chung, our amazing VFX supervisor Tom Proctor and, in this scene especially, the magnificent camera operator Chris Bain. Enjoy and more soon!

More Oliver Reed! Check him out dancing up a storm in one of my favourite UK cult movies, Edmond T. Gréville’s BEAT GIRL (1960): a wonderfully lurid trip through the beatnik coffee bars and strip clubs of Soho.
Set to John Barry’s fantastic score (his first), this scene sees Gillian Hills’ teen temptress heading down to a Soho basement and frugging away with Ollie Reed in the checked shirt. Enjoy.
Too many movies coming out on the same weekend. Spread them out! They don't all have to come out in October.
Hey UK! The delicious trio of SHAUN OF THE DEAD, HOT FUZZ and THE WORLD’S END has found a new home on @Film4.
Delighted to have our tales of zombies, village conspiracies and catastrophically ill-advised pub crawls all together on the channel.
They’re playing now, with another round starting this Saturday: SHAUN on October 24th, FUZZ on the 26th and WORLD’S END on the 27th, all at 9pm. All three films (plus @lastnightinsoho) are streaming free on @Channel4.
Get the Cornettos in.
We shot the aftermath first. Then redressed everything to shoot the 'before times' after. The ace steadicam operator was Paul Edwards. It was the first day of the shoot on the film too!
With the late, great Oliver Reed currently wowing 2026 audiences all over again with his incredible performance in the restored version of Ken Russell’s ‘The Devils’, I wanted to share this amazing clip of him from 1985.
The rather low-res clip comes from ‘In at the Deep End’, a BBC series in which presenter Paul Heiney tries his hands at a profession he had zero experience in. For this episode, Heiney was preparing for an acting role opposite Michael Caine in ‘Water’ and went to Oliver Reed for some pointers on how to play a villain.
Please enjoy what happens next.

The two movies dominating film discourse this weekend are a new restoration of a film from 1971 and a 3 hour documentary from Nathan Fielder. What a time to be alive.

Listened to @RealGDT and @edgarwright. Went to see Ken Russell’s The Devils last night and we loved it. A film firing on all cylinders.
