October Performance - Trades: 6 - Win/rate: 50% - Net Return: 12R - Max Drawdown: 1.3% - Performance by Hour: 5-6 AM - Performance by Weekday: Wednesday & Friday This data does not include my current short position from 81k that's up 4R. Some data that stands out to me is the hour and days of my profitable setups (5-6AM + Wed / Frid). This is often an overlooked data point, for me these figures tell me when I need to be at the charts and mentally locked in for a trade setup. At the start of the month most of my losses came from breakout trades, that was my sign that momentum was cooling off on alts and that I should start focusing my attention back to trading BTC. Initially I did not have a clear read on BTC in terms of a trade setup, but I did have a bias in term of favouring shorts as we accepted back within the weekly range high. The first short trade I executed was a Range Extreme (Internal Sweep) and the second was a Mean Reversion (Internal Sweep). Main reason these setups played out nicely was because I was flowing with the trend, add on top the fact that when I did not have a clear read on the market, I stayed flat and waited instead of taking sub-par setups. Conclusion: Overall, I am very pleased with how I traded this month. Manged to switch my focus from alts back to BTC when momentum was cooling off. When I did not have a clear setup on BTC, I simply waited for one to present itself instead of trying to force trades. Did not make any mistakes when it came to the trade lifecycle (Execution, Management, Closure). Heading into the November, my goals remain the same which is to only execute playbook trades and of course provide as much free value to everyone on X.

So cool to see our new shareable profit calendar out in the wild!
The real edge lies in knowing when to stay flat. Start of the month was very solid for me then market was not presenting me with any clear setups. Made the decision to step back and focus on reviewing my journal and setting new goals for next month.

I remember in an old efl @Trader_Dante saying about If your level is going to work it should be taking off fairly quickly. This visual from @edgewonk shows it perfectly. Most of my winners happen within a few hours, flipside when im wrong -1r also occurs fast as fuck too

First two weeks of August: recap: Some days green, some red. Doesn't matter, that's not what I'm tracking. What I'm tracking is whether the model executed the same way it did in July, in June, in every month before that. Fixed rules. Same criteria. Zero deviation. One trade tells you nothing. It's one draw from a distribution -> could be noise in either direction. 100+ trades of the same model tell you everything. That's not a sample anymore. That's an edge. Profitability isn't a two-week story. It's what's left standing after a few hundred repetitions of a rule you didn't bend. Focus on the process. The account will catch up.

9 times out of 10, when a trader submits their journal for review, we see the same pattern: The best traders trade less. As trade frequency increases, performance usually declines.
The more I trade, the less I actually want to trade. I know that sounds weird. But I’d rather take one trade I love than five I have to convince myself to take.
