If a licensed financial adviser recommends an investment, retirement annuity, insurance policy or funeral policy, that recommendation is regarded as financial advice. This means your adviser has legal responsibilities. They must understand your financial circumstances, recommend products suitable for your needs, and explain the benefits and risks before you make a decision. If you have suffered financial loss because of financial advice that was not suitable for your needs, you can contact the FAIS Ombud for assistance on 0860 663 274.

The true test of an insurance policy comes at claim stage. Many consumers only discover what their policy does not cover when they need it most. Read the fine print, ask questions, and make sure you understand your cover before it's too late.

Financial inclusion creates opportunities for persons with disabilities to have access to financial products, services and financial redress beyond the limits of barriers like mobility, hearing, and sight. All financial customers, including people with disabilities, have the right to be fairly treated by their financial institutions. If not, they can approach a financial ombud scheme such as the @OPFA_SA, @faisombud, or @NFO_Ombud to assist in resolving the dispute. #FinancialInclusionForAll #DisabilityInclusion #FinancialRights #FinancialOmbudSystem @letdisability @TheNCPDZA @niddeaf @institutedeaf @sanda_info
