Near Yankeetown, a manatee became stranded on a sandbar, baking in the sun for hours. 🌊FLORIDA WATERWAY: Roads in parts of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were turned into canals by King Tide flooding, so much that ducks swam alongside cars on popular streets. 🌊 🌧️ FLOOD WATCH: Olana has transitioned to a remnant low, but impacts to Hawaii continue, with the entire state under a Flood Watch as heavy rain and coastal flooding are expected to begin today and continue through this week.

CLOSE CALL 🦈: A woman on board a fishing trip in Georgia had a close encounter with a great white shark after she reached her hand out to try to pet the apex predator. The shark thrashed and lunged at the woman after she made contact with its head. The founder of the nonprofit organization, Knot Lucky Fishing, said the woman was never in danger because the crew had the situation and shark under control. Knot Lucky is a nonprofit in Savannah, Georgia that takes veterans, active duty service members, and their families fishing for free. The group also has a program where they catch, tag and release great white sharks near Tybee Island in Georgia. Read more: foxweather.com/earth-space/v…
