Barack Obama actually compared President Trump’s White House to Saddam Hussein opening a Cheesecake Factory. Imagine being a former president and thinking that’s a clever insult. The Cheesecake Factory is a great American success story. Good food, hardworking employees, and millions of customers who love eating there. Obama thought he was insulting Trump, but he managed to drag a popular American restaurant into his cheap political joke. Americans are enjoying their cheesecake while Obama is still bitter about Trump. What an embarrassment.

Fine, I'll bite: do you honestly think that Americans who believe the Cheesecake Factory is a high end place to eat reserved for special occasions also think that the restaurant's design is so beautiful that the President should copy it for the White House? Do you talk to actual Americans between media hits? Do you think "normal Americans" are too stupid to understand that the design of the Cheesecake Factory is intentionally garish and over-the-top, a joke that even I understood when I went there as a child? Do you realize no one is mad about this except a handful of rich assholes on the right who probably couldn't name five things on the menu?

Yesterday Trump repeatedly called Abdul El-Sayed a "jihadist", told Nicki Minaj she had a "beautiful ass" and asked her to stand up so the crowd could admire it, and yet the dumbest people on Twitter are still pretending to be offended by a mention of the Cheesecake Factory.
