🧵Introducing IDI. The most trusted source of information on the Middle East, Islam and the Ideological threats facing the West.
Subject-matter experts, former Muslims, Arab Christians, and Western thought leaders, coming together to equip policymakers to prevent destructive foreign ideas from being translated into law, restore confidence in the biblical principles that built the West by empowering the Church to reengage the public square, and provide the public with solid analysis to combat the confusion that is making the West vulnerable.
“Islamophobia” is a term propagated to protect Muslims from prejudice, but in reality, it was designed to shield Islam from scrutiny, let Islam infiltrate the West unchallenged, and cripple the West’s ability to defend the victims of Islam.

Christians in the Middle East do not need more speeches about coexistence. They need protection, equal citizenship, and serious international attention to the forces driving them from the lands where Christianity began.

“Moderate” Islam is simply Islamism restrained by authoritarian rulers. “Radical” Islam is what happens when mainstream Islam encounters the freedoms of a liberal democracy.

Marx and Muhammad should have nothing in common. Yet the radical Left and Islam have found common cause in dismantling the West from within.
When Marx Meets Islam exposes the alliance, names the players, and shows how universities, activist networks, media, foreign states, and politicians move together against Western civilization.

The West keeps romanticizing the very history it should be learning from.
The myth of “tolerant” Islamic Spain needs to die.
Al-Andalus was born through conquest, ruled under Islamic supremacy, and reduced Christians and Jews to subordinate status under Muslim rule.

The moment a society treats any religion as too sacred to criticize, freedom of conscience, the pillar on which the West was built, is at stake.

Saudi Arabia sentenced a Hindu man to death for insulting Islam, the same ideology that did not merely insult, but erased entire civilizations across Asia.

Even though the so-called “Islamic Golden Age” was simply a period in which Muslims hijacked the achievements of the non-Islamic civilizations they had conquered, and Muslims still attribute those achievements to Islam, even the few Muslim intellectuals who participated were persecuted, accused of heresy, had their books burned, and killed.

Takfir is the Islamic doctrine that turns non-Muslims into enemies of Allah and makes jihad against them a sacred duty.

October 7 was horrific, but it was not historically unprecedented. Danny Burmawi traces the massacre back through fourteen centuries of Islamic history, from Banu Qurayza and Khaybar to the long persecution of Jews under Muslim rule, showing that anti-Jewish jihad did not begin with Israel, Gaza, settlements, or Netanyahu.

Six centuries before Charlie Hebdo, a painter in Bologna depicted Muhammad in hell on the wall of a basilica, and the fresco is still there.
Italians back then understood that Islam viewed them as infidels. That is why Muslims sacked St. Peter’s and conquered Constantinople. It was jihad.
In this new article from our Infidel Awareness Month series, @DrJulesGomes warns us that Muslims still remember what Europe has forgotten.

This coming Tuesday, October 6, at 4 p.m. ET, IDI fellows will come together for a livestream to discuss why our institute neither accepts nor uses the term “Islamism.”
We will discuss how we can work with so-called “moderate” Muslims while rejecting the claim that they truly represent Islam, and we will answer questions about the Middle East and Islam in the West.
Join us on Zoom by registering through our website. The link is in the comments.
The Vatican is telling Christians to stop trying to convert people while Islam aggressively expands through dawa across the West.
Pope Leo XIV condemns “proselytism,” elevates interfaith dialogue, and urges Christians to “simply wait” for others to ask about Christ.
