A historic visit, rooted in faith, solidarity, and a shared commitment to strengthening Black-Jewish relations. The 500 African American and African Christian leaders taking part in the “Unfinished Business” pilgrimage have arrived in Israel to experience the country firsthand, connect with its people, and continue the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision. We are honored to welcome this remarkable delegation to Israel. 🇮🇱

From paying tribute to the victims of October 7 at the Nova Festival memorial to performing for a sold-out crowd in Tel Aviv, British music icon @BoyGeorge brought a message of solidarity, love, and unity to Israel. His performance included “We Will Dance Again,” a song dedicated to the Nova victims, survivors, and their families. Thank you, Boy George, for standing with Israel and the Jewish people. 🇮🇱

This week we marked the 3rd yahrzeit of my eldest son, Moshe Yedidyah. As we gathered around his grave on Mt. Herzl, I asked myself, yet again: how are we supposed to go on living without him? We mustn't give in to sadness. It only harms us, and closes us off from the world. Rather, I'd like to think that Moshe would encourage us to maintain a living memory of him. This living memory encourages us, in his spirit, to lead with responsibility, unity, and, most importantly - love. After all, this is how he would introduce himself to his soldiers: "Hello, I am Moshe. I love this country, and I love the IDF". Now, 3 years after we lost Moshe, I'm looking at words his brother, Neriyah, wrote, to express his love for the army Moshe held dear. Like Moshe, he spoke of the privilege of taking part in this great endeavor of defending the Jewish state. After Neriyah's injury, he arrived at the hospital without a pulse. It's even possible that he briefly visited his older brother, hanging between the heaven and the earth. And, as I was standing at Moshe's grave, I had to ask him for help. I asked him to amplify the prayers we send from here, and to plead with G-d to bring Neriyah back to us, and make him whole again. In the face of the murderous ideology that robbed me of one son, and nearly cost me another, we must do as Moshe would have done, were he still here: stand together, undivided, and fight for our country, which we love so dearly. Shabbat Shalom 🕯️🕯️

59 years later, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s unfinished journey to Israel is finally becoming a reality. Today, 500 African American and African Christian leaders arrived in Israel for the “Unfinished Business” pilgrimage, an initiative inspired by Dr. King’s 1967 vision of bringing African American pastors to the Holy Land. At a time when standing with Israel comes at a cost, these leaders came to see Israel for themselves, guided by faith, a commitment to truth, and a shared dedication to strengthening Black-Jewish relations. They honored Israelis whose lives were forever changed by October 7, including former hostage Elkana Bohbot, who endured 738 days in Hamas captivity. Welcome to Israel. We are honored to have you here. 📷 @AlonSpiegel

A 3,200-year-old fortress has been brought back to life! Located in Israel’s Guvrin Forest, Gal’on Fortress dates back to the time of the biblical Judges, when Canaanites, Israelites and Philistines competed for control of the region. Following extensive conservation and accessibility work by KKL-JNF and the Israel Antiquities Authority, this remarkable piece of history is once again open to the public.

The Embassy of Israel was pleased to welcome a number of student delegations over the past several weeks, including a Young Diplomats delegation, Greek life leaders from AEPi, and students from Liberty University. Through conversations, briefings, and firsthand perspectives, these visits offer students an opportunity to engage with Israel’s story, learn more about the region, and deepen their understanding of the issues shaping U.S.-Israel relations. We are always glad to welcome the next generation of leaders to the Embassy!

A little piece of paradise in northern Israel. 🇮🇱🌿 Gan HaShlosha National Park, also known as Sachne, is famous for its crystal-clear natural pools, lush greenery, and warm spring waters that stay around 82°F year-round. Surrounded by palm trees and beautiful landscapes, it’s one of Israel’s most beloved natural escapes.

Israeli innovation is helping shape the future of space exploration. StemRad’s AstroRad radiation protection vest, developed with the support of the Israel Space Agency, was worn by four American astronauts and Israeli astronaut Eytan Stibbe aboard the International Space Station. Now, it is going on display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. A proud milestone for Israeli science and technology. 🇮🇱🚀

Israel at the forefront of medical innovation. 🇮🇱🩺 In a first for Israel and among the first procedures of its kind worldwide, surgeons at @Hadassah_MC performed corrective surgery using Medtronic’s Stealth AXiS™ Surgical System, one of the most advanced robotic surgical platforms available. Less than a week after surgery, an 18-year-old with severe, complex scoliosis is already pain-free and walking upright. Another milestone in Israeli medical innovation, helping shape the future of medicine.
