Praying for you and your family and brokenhearted with you, Pastor Mike.
Please pray for @PastorMikeStone and Andrea, in the loss of their precious daughter, Sarah. As well, pray for their family, and church family. Grace. Comfort. Peace. Hope.
Happy Election Day! We talked a little bit about politics on this week’s episode of The Bullpen pod, including the question: How should we think about “the lesser of two evils” when we vote?

The beautiful face of liberty! (Veronica’s pic to me leaving the polls). #govote
Currently standing in line for the obligatory half hour to get donuts at the North Carolina State Fair. NC State Fair is something like a mix between Paradise and the seventh Circle of hell. All at the same time. I think North Carolina is the only place where eating 12 donuts during a 5-mile run is a celebrated annual event.
One movement in two pictures.
All the staff of over 100 churches worshiping and being equipped together. This room is where we start the funnel of our future pastors.
The second picture is a tent of 12 new planters going out this year pitching to our existing pastors. Iron sharpening iron.
A movement needs a funnel of leaders and a mechanism to plant the ones God calls.
We are doing both in The Collaborative Movement with @SummitCollab and @mercyhillnc
16 new Collab plants this year in NYC, Montana, Asheville, Nashville, Tampa, Capetown (South Africa) and several more. Maybe most encouraging, all have come through our development pipeline, none recruited from outside!
Day 2 of @SummitCollab conference: @corbinhobbs coming out hot: “We come this morning. to our 3rd value, the testy one: growth. Not everyone appreciates it. Some are always skeptical of it and discourage it. But it’s Jesus’ plan for his church. To reach one more. It’s a combination of ambition, humility and expectation. Leave out any one of these and it’s become ungodly.”
Deeply encouraging exposition on Psalm 67: “It’s time to dream again.”
The Collab Conference is a bi-annual gathering of staff from Collab Movement plants and a handful of partner churches.
Got to share this morning at the @SummitCollab Conference about something I need to hear as much today as ever: We never outgrow our need for the gospel.
It’s easy to become so focused on what we’re doing FOR Jesus that we lose sight of what he’s done for us.
Grateful to gather with 1,100+ team members from our 100+ Collab churches, united around the gospel that saves us, sustains us, and shapes this multiplying movement.
Don’t know much about this church or movement, but this is incredible. Hearing stories about how God is moving all over Europe. Praise God and join him!
550 baptisms at a single event could be a record in Britain, with perhaps even larger numbers than are reflected in Bede’s Ecclesiastical History, which records baptisms in the North of England in the early seventh century. As I do not have personal knowledge of this event, I will not seek to evaluate it from a distance.

In September 2026, at a private meeting of TGC Council members, @RevKevDeYoung gave a presentation on responding to Christian nationalism.
DeYoung offers 15 answers someone might give when asked what they mean by identifying as a Christian nationalist.

I enjoyed joining my friends at @LifeTodayTV and talking about living quietly in a world that is often hostile. lifetoday.org/episode/witnes…
Incredible morning worshipping with our @SummitCollab church, Garden City, here in a huge Southeast Asian global city. Celebrated baptisms of two former atheists and got to see several @summitrdu members thriving over here.

Amen to that, Ken!
I hope that @AndrewTWalker is right, and that the conversation about Christian Nationalism has run its course. It certainly has done enough damage.
