Sir Patrick Stewart says his favorite thing to do in Beverly Hills is tell fancy dinner guests that he’s a socialist. When asked if he had ever considered running for public office, the legendary actor didn’t hold back about his lifelong political leanings. “I’ve been a member of the Labour Party for 35 years and I committed my first act of civil disobedience when I was 5 years old. I have been a left-wing man ever since. There’s nothing like sitting around a Beverly Hills dining table with a lot of fancy guests and telling them that you’re a socialist.”

People deserve a stake in the wealth they help create. Co-operative ownership gives us a say in the businesses we depend on and helps keep wealth in the communities that produce it.

Today we updated Parliament and local leaders on the review of Local Government Reorganisation and the next steps in delivering the programme. This confirmed ‘minded to’ decisions for; 📍East Sussex and Brighton and Hove, the two unitary proposal including boundary changes requested by Brighton and Hove City Council, except for the parish of Falmer. 📍The one unitary proposal in Gloucestershire. 📍The three unitary proposal in Oxfordshire, including boundary changes.   📍The two unitary proposal in Warwickshire. 📍The two unitary proposal in Worcestershire. We also outlined how we will support councils with the release of funding to recognise the work done to date. All elections in 2027 will be on the current boundaries, with Shadow Unitary elections to in 2028, and vesting in 2029. We will return with further updates before Christmas. 1. Using multiple rapes for scoring political points is disgusting. 2. You were a member of the Tory party when the Councillor was. 3. Is this an admission that Reform UK are committing ‘serious criminal behaviour’?
