"Master of the Senate" should come in very handy.
Anyone who wants to get in politics on any level better read it!

If one viral clip summed up voter vibes this year it was this one. via @jonallendc
Pennsylvania MAGA voter lays into Trump over rising gas prices: Trump is a worthless pile of shit. I voted for him three times. That was my bad. Apparently, I'm an idiot.

Frankly surprised someone on the congressman’s staff didn’t leak the tweet to @JakeSherman before it was posted.
The slimiest member of the DC press corps who conspires with low integrity attention seekers to leak strategies being discussed in House Republican meetings is Jake Sherman. To be clear- If you want my vote for leadership you will commit to no on or off record interviews with Jake Sherman for as long as he leaks our confidential team meetings. If being in “punchbowl” is more important than keeping the confidentiality of your colleagues not only are you unfit for Leadership, you shouldn’t call yourself a patriot. Do not call me and ask for my vote unless you are willing to make that commitment. Our Republican Conference was crushed on Tuesday and we enter one of the most perilous times in our nations history. I can only speak for myself, but I will not be tolerating games and BS. 🇺🇸

"We got a way better group of senators. …We had, senator, five drunks or six drunks. There’s nobody drunk in the United States Senate [now]. …And we’ve got more than that. We’ve got the women." Really worth watching the entire clip. Also, that combination of voice and drawl!
Last time a Democrat Senator from SC spoke on floor? Nov 16, 2004. Ernest Hollings. On Lindsey Graham: "That fellow is going to be here a long time." -AND- "The poor recorder. If you can understand what I'm saying. They always asking later, What did he say and how did he say it?"

Of every 100 Trump voters, ~63 voted GOP, 4 voted Dem and 33 didn't vote or went third party. Of every 100 Harris voters, ~85 voted Dem, ~2 voted GOP and 13.5 didn't vote or went third party. Of those that turned out 6% of Trump voters backed Dems (exit polls put that at 7%)

Not only all of this, but Senate Dems haven’t had a truly contested race for leader since Daschle v Dodd, 1994. Every once in a while some people would say after elections they supported someone else (post-2014 wipeout). But never an actual race.
1) no one is running against Schumer 2) the Senate leadership vote is on a secret ballot 3) Democrats just won a landslide with Schumer setting Senate strategy and his allies providing support to winning campaigns. 4) If no one runs against him, there won’t be a vote count. 1/2

How big was the early vote for Dems? Cooper in NC, Talarico in TX and Ossoff in GA all had more EARLY votes than their opponents had in total, per @NBCNews decision desk. Put another way, they could have each received zero election day votes and still won.

The *main* reason the war is unpopular is the rising prices from the predictable closure of the Strait. But the war — and broken promises of ending inflation and foreign conflicts — cemented the GOP’s feet when voters were already angry about tariffs, cuts to programs, etc.

21 years! note to political folks: if you get married the first week of November, at least half your anniversaries will be election week. I did not think about that until I found myself flying to Nashville to meet Stephanie for our first anniversary dinner 20 years ago.
