Interface Craft is now open.
It’s a growing library of resources for those who are committed to crafting experiences and interfaces with uncommon care.
I hope you’ll consider joining:
Steve's is so good.
Here's another "find every invariant my app relies on but doesn't explicitly enforce"
Collaborating with @kelin_online, and you all, to bring these from the screen into the real world has been such a joy.
We’re so excited to get these out! 📦
our @joshpuckett autumn moon lamps are all packed up and ready to go~
switched out our branded boxes to these blank cardboard ones last minute... so i had claude make some stamp options and 3d-printed them within the hour. we live in the futureeeee
We’re at the point where “maybe we should explore our own renderer 🤔” becomes an actually serious question.
Brand & identity work for Nyquis.
Not every day a key requirement is “we can observe it in real time on an oscilloscope.”
Congrats Dan, so much more to build! ⚡️
Excited to share that @nyquishq has raised $6.3M, co-led by @gigascale and @spc.
Like an EKG for the grid, Nyquis helps utilities spot hidden faults and plan for growing demand. We’re already monitoring 800 miles of power lines.
Watch our launch film below.

some personal news — tenderworld.co is my new product studio.
well, "product studio" is the most familiar label, but the reality is stranger than that. i view it as my post-AGI job.
i'm figuring out the future of work for myself. i want to be an example and a resource for others who are searching for the same thing.
my output, through tenderworld, is a series of projects with collaborators new and familiar. we focus on making things that it feels like *only we can make*.
this doesn't mean having a specialized skillset. through each project, we push ourselves into new mediums and processes, aided by machine intelligence, guided by our own intuition.
so far, i've followed this intuition all the way into making hardware, designing toys for my inner child, leaning into my chinese heritage, and working with manufacturers in shenzhen.
my work will certainly keep changing. the future demands continual reinvention of us.
some people call me an artist, some people call me a founder. to me, artist/founder exist on a spectrum. the future of the work we choose to make will increasingly look like art.
Having my agents working while I enjoy this whiskey and the simply *immaculate* timeline vibes tonight is really what our Founding Fathers fought for 🇺🇸🥃
Small update for all you variable font lovers:
Pica now supports every variable font axis, including weight, width, slant, and custom ones too.

I was reflecting on this beautiful piece from @beh_zod this morning: behzod.com/blog/you-make-mus…
I'm currently collaborating on a few things with folks I respect and it really does feel like we're just making music together.
When trust and skill are high, the process almost just recedes to intuition. It can be hard to explain, but there's a lot of wisdom in "just make it great."
A lot of fun video calls today, but disappointed that only @MSchwaibold and @designertom joined me in costume! 🎃
Just noticed DialKit is at 350k weekly installs on NPM 🤯
I refuse to believe that's real, but nevertheless am thankful so many of you are finding it useful.
If you haven't give it a spin yet, check it out: dialkit.dev
Kelin is such a breath of fresh air in our industry. I'm so inspired by the journey she's chosen to embark on and share with us all.
Give her a follow, then give this a watch! 👇
had fun sharing my perspective on digital ~> physical design & skating where the puck is going
also said my new studio name for the first time! tenderworld.co
If you enjoy film-esque photos, this camera/photo editor is extremely good.
So I recently badgered my cinematographer @steveyedlin into making my ideal iPhone still camera app. It shoots RAW, bypasses the iPhone's look processing and instead uses the same image processing we use on our movies. apps.apple.com/app/apple-sto…
Doing some of that "Design Engineering"* tonight.
*getting into the weeds to ensure quality, speed, and efficiency are as optimized as possible
The fun aspect of running 1 of 1 productions is you get to learn in real time where the gaps between bits and atoms are.
@kelin_online is far too humble to say this, but she's been grinding and test printed nearly every lamp in this run to ensure they're artifact free and of the highest quality. We're rapidly learning and refining.
Here's a fun debug mode we came up in updating the rendering model to align more closely with what's needed to export for excellent 3D prints.
We used to buy things made one at a time.
Mass production made products cheaper and more accessible, but largely identical.
What if the future takes us back to a world where everything is one-of-one?
Autumn Moon is a limited drop in collaboration with @kelin_online & @angelaloh09 built on that idea.

Sunil’s post is full of wisdom and worth reading in full.
It reminded me that one of the most underrated qualities of a great coach, advisor, or mentor is simply being a grounding presence.
When people bring you their most urgent problems, fears, and anxieties, it's critical you offer a place of calm and confidence from which to work. Seek to be unflappable.
