I swear to god if I hear another person on this app talk about the mainstream media while mainlining the disinfo slop on here all day, I’m going to lose my mind

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps:
-It’s ‘sleight of hand’
-It’s ‘bated breath’
-It’s ‘lo and behold’
-It's 'buck naked'
-It’s ‘brass tacks’
-It’s ‘free rein’
-It’s ‘toe the line'

Meta's "accidental" suspension of the No Kings Instagram account — at a time when the org was posting updates from ongoing marches — was not an anomaly. I found dozens of similar instances of Meta "mistakenly" targeting left-leaning activist accounts, often during crucial election windows.
My latest.

"It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that Musk understands the stakes – that he has crossed the line, that there’s no going back, and that all that’s left is to pour hundreds of millions into the midterms in the hopes of staying out of jail."
Elon Musk's total political spending in the 2025-2026 cycle:
$469 million, by my count.

$442m to buy our elections and it constitutes just 0.045% of Elons wealth. That’s the equivalent of the median American household spending $92. If you can’t see the problem with this then I don’t know what to tell you.

This point of view has been made for years now, and I'm getting frustrated because it's very clear that he means he doesn't think Democrats represent the interests of working class white people, which are not strictly economic. That's what he doesn't want to lose.
There is almost nothing in GOP Trump policy that economically benefits the working class, which saw disproportionate wage gains and stable, low unemployment under Biden. I wish our journalists would be more honest and critical when folks say this.

One of things you see is that quite a lot of voters are pretty dumb. In this case, it's not that this woman hasn't absorbed non-racist mores but simply hasn't put in the time on Fox and Newsmax to be racist and not sound like a total moron.

(1/X) It's striking to me how little anyone seems to care that Trump is openly working for Russia now, that he's openly helping Putin massacre Ukrainians.
It would be inaccurate to say that he's received less criticism for this than Obama got for wearing a tan suit...

Not a single statewide Republican willing to debate in Texas. They’re just going to hide behind a blanket of anti-trans ads and voting restrictions and hope for the best.
A Bo French-Jon Rosenthal debate in Dallas Thursday has been officially called off. French’s campaign confirmed it verbally but has ghosted the DFW Press & Media Club sponsor since then, according to the club. #txrrc

It really is fucking infuriating to have lived through four years of reporters questioning Biden's health and have them be completely silent on the obvious signs of Trump's physical and mental decline. Just could not care less about any of it.

I live in Ohio. I've now lived through years and years of "they/them are the enemy" political ads, probably thousands of them.
It's really hard to think of anyone working for the GOP in 2026 as "honorable opponents in the war of ideas".
They idea that they are selling is hate.
