Really sad #worldradioday2024 for me as I found out today that this year will be @SirenFM’s last.
This radio station has been an amazing resource for journalism, media and countless other students at the University of Lincoln and provided an alternative for the local community.
But if the university truly believe that’s the case, why is there no announcement? Why are they fearful of a backlash? My concern is this is purely linked to cost-cutting. By low-budgeting this prestigious course, they will effectively phase out media at Lincoln.
