Tonight it was my honor to be featured on CBS nightly news. No matter tomorrow’s outcome, remember who you are. 🗳️ ✅

An American Psychological Association poll shows 69% of Americans feel significant stress about the election, with some saying they fear violence and threats to democracy. Kimberly Pope Adams, who lost her race for a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates by just 53 votes, exemplifies the need for acceptance in democracy, reminding us that fair play must prevail over ambition.

Met some Trojans who are fired up and ready to vote! 🧡💙
You can vote in person through October 31 or on Election Day on Tuesday, November 3. If you received an absentee ballot, make sure you return it.
Make your voice heard, Virginia!
So honored to stand next to my Congresswoman as we get out the vote in Petersburg! 🗳️ Don’t forget, you can cast your ballot every day until October 31, or on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3!
I visited the historic Griffin’s Lounge in Petersburg with @kimadamsforva and @PetersburgDems to get voters fired up and out to the polls for the midterm elections.

BIG & BREAKING: After a long, difficult wait, automatic criminal record sealing begins TODAY in VA!!! This requires no work by the person whose record is being sealed. Is my record getting auto sealed? Head to the Justice Forward Foundation for details: justiceforwardvafoundation.o…

ALT Automatic sealing requires no work by the person whose record is being sealed. When automatic sealing begins, the Virginia State Police will send lists of eligible records to the courts, who will seal these records from public view. There are only a few types of records that will be sealed automatically, and all of them are misdemeanor convictions: Misdemeanor larceny, § 18.2-96, or concealment, § 18.2-103 Three types of trespass: § 18.2-119, § 18.2-120 or § 18.2-134 Misdemeanor possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, § 18.2-248.1 Disorderly conduct, § 18.2-415

Senator Janet Howell stepped into the arena at a time when few women were welcome there. As the first woman to serve on and later co-chair the Senate Finance and Appropriations Committee, she shaped every state budget for a generation and changed the trajectory of Virginia itself. May she rest in peace.

Today, I joined other legislators in sending a letter to the SCC endorsing the @GovernorVA’s position on the SCC’s pending data center transmission costs case. As we conclude:
“The bottom line is data centers should pay for their transmission lines, not Virginians.”

Today, the House sent a budget to the Governor's desk that invests in our schools, child care, public safety, affordable housing, and workforce — while keeping Virginia fiscally strong.

Yesterday was Loving Day.
Richard and Mildred Loving were a Virginia couple whose fight to be together changed our nation and helped expand civil rights for generations to come.
Their story reminds us that love, courage, and perseverance can leave a lasting impact. #LovingDay
It has taken me all day to find the words to say because my heart is just so heavy.
I love you, Bestie. And when you need a shoulder to cry on, someone to listen, or simply someone to sit quietly beside you, I am here. Today, tomorrow, and for all the days to come.

Freedom is never free.
This Memorial Day, we honor the brave Americans who gave their lives in service to our country and remember the families who carry that sacrifice every day.
As a Navy veteran, I know the bond forged by those willing to stand the watch. Today, we remember those whose watch never ended. God bless them all.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms, and mother figures who lead with love, strength, sacrifice, and wisdom each and every day. Today we celebrate you and all that you do! 💐 ❤️

Virginia voters were with us! This is not the time to despair — this is the time to keep fighting. Keep your head up and keep moving forward. One battle at a time, one fight after another. We’ve come too far to stop now.

We’ve all got to lighten up a little from time to time. I had a great time catching up with a few of my favorite legislators and having a few laughs. Thank you @vpapupdates for all the work you do in the Commonwealth. Making data fun and easy to access is not an easy task.
Petersburg is on the rise! ❤️
