My profile picture is of me demonstrating lightning was electricity. #manofscience
It is hard for an empty sack to stand upright.
In 1736 I lost one of my sons at age 4 to small pox :(
In 1733 I had begun to study languages, pursuing French, Latin, and Spanish.

In 1732 I first published my almanac under the name of Richard Saunders. I tried to make it entertaining and useful.

AND humility (because twitter only allows me 140 characters of space for virtues)
They were temperance, silence, order, resolution, frugality, industry, sincerity, justice, moderation, cleanliness, tranquillity, chastity
At one point I proposed to myself 13 virtues that I found necessary or desirable.
Reading was the only amusement I allowed myself. #bookworm
The library gave me the means of improvement by constant study.
