When one transfer is regulated in two jurisdictions, what does a custodian need from each regulator before it holds the asset?
Our Chief Commercial Officer, Rajesh Sabari, took this question at the GFTN Tbilisi Finance Summit 2026. He covered common standards for KYC and screening, policy controls over each approval, and segregation of assets to reduce counterparty risk.
He closed on finality. A blockchain may show a transfer as complete, while a regulator may wait until the funds reach a bank account.
Watch the full video for his take on what finality should mean across borders.

Banks, asset managers, and market infrastructure providers are moving real-world assets onto blockchains. Real estate is one of the largest asset classes on that list.
Real estate tokenization turns ownership rights in a property into digital tokens. Each token represents a share. Investors hold their shares in digital wallets, and tokens move between wallets at any hour of any day.
This can widen the pool of investors for a property and give owners new ways to raise capital.
Two things make it work at institutional scale. A clear legal structure defines what each token represents. Secure custody protects the value those tokens hold.
Watch the 80-second explainer to see how it works. 👇
Rajesh Sabari, our Chief Commercial Officer, joined a panel at the Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum in Tashkent. The discussion focused on how digital finance markets across Central Asia can work together.
A few of the topics he covered:
• What regulators look for when stablecoins meet local currencies
• How each country can keep its data at home and still share trusted proof across borders
• What banks and institutions need before they move real transactions on-chain
• Why strong custody controls matter as these markets grow
The full conversation is in the video.
From tomorrow, Rajesh and Ilinca, will carry these conversations to the GFTN Tbilisi Finance Summit 2026.
📅 27 to 28 October 2026
📍 Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace
If you are attending and want to talk about digital assets, tokenisation or cross-border infrastructure in the region, reach out to Rajesh or Ilinca to set up a time to meet.

Please join us in welcoming Andrew Morfill to the 5th edition of G.A.I.N, Liminal's invite-only gathering of key decision-makers in the world of digital assets.
Andrew is the operator banks turn to when a regulatory mandate must become a live, in-production platform. As Director of Digital Assets at Alvarez & Marsal, he sits in the seat most institutions can't fill internally, the bridge between policy intent and engineering reality. He carries the build-vs-buy and architecture decisions that quietly decide whether a programme scales or stalls. That is the lens he brings to the room.

A rare voice who has shaped digital asset policy from every seat that matters as the regulator who wrote the rules at ADGM, and now as Chairman of the Apex Fundrock ADGM Board and Board Advisor to Apex Group (Middle East & India), steering the region's stablecoin and digital asset agenda. Few people in the region can claim that range, and that range is exactly why his insights cut through, he's built it from every side of the table, not just studied it.

Some of the most interesting conversations during @token2049 Week in Singapore happened at the side events, where industry leaders came together for more focused discussions.
One such event was the Payments, Treasury & Tokenization Summit 2026, convened by 8 Circle, @XDCNetwork Network, and @PwC , in collaboration with @Microsoft and Metalabs.

During the discussion, Rajesh shared his perspective on the path forward for tokenized SME credit, focusing on three key themes:
1. Stablecoins and liquidity: Why stablecoins dominate treasury conversations, but liquidity remains the real challenge.
2. Scaling tokenized SME credit: Four critical steps to move from pilots to production: building secondary markets, ensuring legal certainty, streamlining onboarding, and upgrading settlement infrastructure.
3. Market infrastructure: How tokenized deposits, AMMs, and market maker incentives can unlock liquidity and improve monetary controls.
Watch the full video for insights from the discussion on what it will take to scale tokenized SME credit and unlock institutional liquidity.
