TJPW has announced the creation of a new championship belt, the “Unlimited Princess Championship.”
This social media-focused championship will allow title challenges and defenses to take place anytime and anywhere, provided a referee is present.
However, the following conditions must be met for a title match to be officially recognized:
・ Any wrestler wishing to challenge for the championship or defend it must post some form of advance notice on social media within 24 hours, along with their desired match rules.
・ A title match becomes official once the tournament office publishes an “Approved” post on social media. The time between the initial announcement and approval can be as short as one second and still be valid. However, challenges initiated through surprise attacks without prior notice will not be recognized.
・ As long as the rules are presented and approved by the tournament office, a title match can take place even under rules that differ from conventional professional wrestling matches.
・ All title defenses must be broadcast on social media. Even if a match takes place inside the ring under standard professional wrestling rules, the entire match must be streamed on social media.
It has also been announced that a battle royal to determine the inaugural champion will take place at TJPW’s December 26 show at Korakuen Hall. Further details, including the participating wrestlers, will be announced at a later date.
The detailed regulations for the championship are still under consideration, and some of the above conditions may be modified or revised before December 26.
The new “Unlimited Princess Championship” will make its debut at the end of this year.
