This is quite something ! Serbian RTV channel starts yesterday's bulletin by apologizing to viewers👇
"For years, we failed to fulfill our duty. We kept silent, turned a blind eye, reported events one-sidedly and failed to ask necessary questions. We owe our viewers an apology”
I realise these videos are aimed at the public sector and MPs, but for what it's worth: The specific criticism is about data portability. The charge is that while Palantir will allow a customer to take their data and “walk away”, that data is in a Palantir format, really only suited to Palantir systems and difficult for other systems to interpret. That’s what I’ve been told by engineers I’ve talked to.

Tried to book a flight on @Trip. The outbound flight was processed (@British_Airways then took £234.04 from my acccount) but without booking the return flight!
Very quickly some guy tried to scam me on email and WhatsApp claiming to be BA customer services. Everyone put this number on your spam / scammer list +447460615160
No doubt another scammer. Well done X for making this a safe space for these accounts.

Off topic for tech but: I am sick and tired of reading news reports that “Oxford Street is being pedestrianised!”. For god’s sake: ONE PART of Oxford St. NOT THE WHOLE DAMN STREET. Right, back to tech… (Grrr…). See maps below.
Extending pedestrianisation to the remainder of Oxford Street is listed only as a "possibility". Designers are developing proposals for the rest of Oxford Street, but there is **no confirmed timetable** for making the entire street traffic-free. Any further traffic-management plans will be subject to consultation. oxfordstreetdc.org.uk/faqs/
Tonight - Serbia feels like the new Hungary - over throwing of a Russia friendly / Putin sympathising leader for something genuinely new - in Serbias case a student led party . Does this shift dynamics in the war on Ukraine ? And with the shape of the EU?
I have just spoken by phone with the leaders of the Students' List @studentblokade, who won the elections in Serbia, to congratulate them on their victory. I assured them of Hungary’s support. I was delighted to hear how much strength our victory in April had given them during this difficult struggle.
Good news for Europe.
🚨🇷🇸 NEW: Former Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has conceded defeat in snap parliamentary elections to Ilija Srdanović's student-led opposition movement
56.0% sample of CeSID / Ipsos parallel count
🔴 Student List: 139 seats (New) - 52.0% (New)
🔵 SNS+: 104 seats (-6) - 39.3% (-8.8)
126 seats needed for a majority
The vote ends 14 years of rule by Vučić's right-wing Serbian Progressive Party following two years of widespread youth-led anti-government protests
