Electric cars about to overtake petrol.
I always said EVs would take over by 2028.
It’s looking like we can bring that prediction forward, by at least 6 months.
On the current trends, it’s possible that we will see a month, where more EVs are sold than petrol by April 2027.
By October 2027, EVs will outsell petrol cars, every month, forever.

あとバッテリー劣化を論う言説って暗黙のうちに
1) バッテリーが交換できない
2) バッテリー交換がいつまでも高価すぎる
ことを前提に置いてたりするけど。
1) は確かにそういう車種もあるけれど。
リーフ等、丸ごと交換可能になってる車種も多い。
実際、交換サービスも複数の国で見られる。
2) についても、十何年も経ってバッテリーが寿命になる頃には、少なくとも今よりは安価になってるでしょうね。
今の調子で推移すると、5～10年もするとエンジン車の重整備と同程度の費用で交換できるようになるかも知れない。
