📯 Announcement: we have turned off OpenRarity rankings for Normies on @opensea.
Why: OpenRarity ranks an NFT by how uncommon its trait values are. Normies are not static. Their traits change on-chain every time a holder customizes their canvas or puts #PIXEL on it.
Adding even 1 #PIXEL to a Normie creates a trait value that almost no other Normie has. OpenRarity reads that as “rare” and pushes the Normie up the ranking, even though nothing about its art or type made it rarer. Those rankings were misleading collectors.
Normies have their own official rarity tool, built for a living collection. It reads the live on-chain data, so rankings reflect what actually makes a Normie rare: type, pixel count, customization, level and more.
