I feel obligated to debunk these lies.
I'm a Christian, and as much as I'm critical of radical Islam, I want to state that no Islamic bank or institution indulges in interest, especially the ones I know in Nigeria. If you want a free interest loan or want to buy a property way cheaper, buy it through a good muslim man or agency. Islam forbids interest on loans, and good Muslims try as much as possible to avoid such interest.
Let me tell you my two experiences:
1. Jaiz Bank: Back in 2019, I had a very big financial issue. I tried borrowing from other banks, but the interest was very high. At that time, if I had taken that loan from a conventional bank, I would have starved to death. I was already owed by another bank. So a friend of mine advised me to try Jaiz Bank. He told me how their interest works, but I didn't believe him at first. I also reminded him that I'm a Christian. He told me not to worry about it.
On Monday, the next week, I went to the bank and met customer care. She told me the criteria for giving out their loan. I was very comfortable with it and applied. Within five working days, I received the loan. And guess what, there was no interest on the loan because they understood that it was a little money and it was not for business. I later paid it back even before the 2 years duration they gave me.
2. Kebbi Savings and Homes: Back in July 2024, a friend of mine wanted to buy a house in one of the northern states because he was tired of roaming around with his family. He was transferred to Edo ( he works at NNPC), and his wife doesn't like staying in the South (reasons known to her). So he asked me to find a house for him to buy, and it should be in at least a Christian-dominated area. I searched houses up and down to no avail. The ones I got were too expensive. After a while, I came to understand that the agents were inflating the price behind the owner of the house. Imagine a house of 20m being for 40m. Exactly.
So one day, while I was searching for the house, I saw a sticker of Kebbi Savings and Homes, and I copied the number on my phone and called the customer care rep. He told me to visit their office, and I did. Talk to him about the specification of the house my friend need and he brought pictures and videos of the houses and showed me. I started asking the prices, and it shocked me. The same houses that were sold at 20M by Christian agents were sold at 10M. What even impressed me was the fact that the owner was a Christian, the house was located in the Christian-dominated area my friend requested, and it is way cheaper. Just to clear my doubt, when my friend showed interest, he called the owner of the house, and he came. He told me the specific price he told them to sell for. Let me boost your brain: the agency commission was just 2%, and you know what, because I brought them a customer, they gave me 200k.
The incidents shocked me and shed some light on Islamic tradition regarding loans and business for me. This is aside from the normal daily business I had with Muslims, who always turn out to be honest, unlike some Christians. Most northern Christians will tell you how honest these people are when it comes to business.
So please, be honest with your take on the said religion, even if you hate it.
Thank you.

I am just getting to read all that you wrote this morning, concerning the video of that man.
It's quite enlightening and as well logical going by the way you started from history.
I am not a Muslim but what you said makes sense to me.
Perhaps, this is why prophet Muhammad first message was "Read in the name of the lord who created you".
Meaning, one should seek knowledge first.
Unfortunately, the radicalism and misinterpretation of Islam over the years may have ruined a lot of minds or perceptions of many.
However, thank you for taking your time to enlighten everyone.
God bless you 🙏.
When people began to tag me to this man’s video, I knew I had to tread carefully. I have been wary of his rhetoric before, but I couldn’t just jump to it like many people wanted me to do because I had a long day yesterday. So I needed to go watch the full podcast to understand the complete picture.
More importantly, when non-Muslims share cut and join videos of Muslims on the timeline, do not take those clips at face value. Most times, it is done with malicious intent to paint Islam in the worst possible light.
Having understood the full context, my refutation is based on the full truth of his interview, not just this viral snippet. NB: This is a long piece.
What this viral video did not show you is that he was speaking hypothetically. He was framing his answers based on what he would do if he were a Muslim leader operating within a pure Islamic state.
However, knowing this full context does not validate his claims. In fact, it only shifted his error from street vigilantism to tyrannical extremism. Even as a hypothetical Head of State, his understanding of Shari'ah is severely broken.
To break this down, we must first look at the foundational ruling on apostasy. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said in a Hadith reported by Ibn Abbas and recorded in Sahih Bukhari:
"Whoever changes his religion, execute him."
To understand this text, we must understand the context of the man who said it. Imam Ash-Shatibi explained in his foundational work Al-Muwafaqat that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not act in one single capacity throughout his life. His actions fell into three distinct stages.
First, he acted as a Messenger, conveying divine revelation and spiritual guidance. Second, he acted as a Mufti, giving specific religious verdicts to people who came with personal questions. Third, he acted as an Imam, meaning the Head of State, Commander in Chief, and Supreme Judge.
We must state firmly here that when the Prophet gave the ruling on apostasy, he was acting strictly in his third capacity as the Head of State. By implication, this was a decree of state policy.
And when we look at it critically, the policy is justified. You know why?
Early Islamic Medina was not a mosque or a social club. It was a nascent sovereign state surrounded by existential threats. They were dealing with the hostile Quraysh, hypocrites sabotaging them from within, rebellious tribes, and massive military superpowers like the Roman and Persian empires.
In that era, religion and citizenship were the same thing. Leaving Islam did not mean you stopped praying in your bedroom like many people think it is today. It meant you formally defected to the enemy army to wage war against the state of Medina. It was political and military betrayal.
Let’s bring it home. Under the Nigerian constitution or US federal law, the highest crime a citizen can commit is high treason.
If Nigeria is in a state of war, and you as a citizen cross the border and join the enemy camp, whether you leak military secrets or not, the mere fact that you join the enemy camp makes you a target. The penalty is death. The Islamic state views this defection through the very same lens. It is a matter of national security and active sabotage.
Here, people can argue that what if a person just denounces Islam and walks away quietly without leaking state secrets or joining an enemy army? Does the treason analogy still hold?
If we look at the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him), his approach was even softer and more restrained than what modern nations practice today.

Yes, Sunni Muslims object to it on the grounds of innovation in islam. But what’s shown here is a Saudi national day celebration, not a religious ruling. Culture and religion aren’t the same thing. If we’re going to discuss religious evidence, let’s discuss that directly
A camouflaged hypocrisy. If it were Sudais denouncing Maulid, the teeming Nigerians could have thronged in numbers jubilating and declaring the state as a place that holds islamic values. But look at this cast of ladies wielding their shapely hips seductively to a cheering audience, behind a backdrop of flag that carries the most sacred words.
Yet, the self-appointed custodians of morality develop a remarkable case of selective deafness and moral amnesia.

Like Adunni Like Chef T, The Bullying Never Stops
I have been avoiding this Adunni matter since yesterday, but there are so many layers to it. The primary issue here is the constant bullying and outward hatred people display the moment they discover you are a Muslim.
Were we not all here during the Chef T saga? We saw the intense bullying she faced. Many of the people acting surprised or offended right now are raging hypocrites.
Do not get it twisted. The entertainment industry, particularly Yorubahood, is heavily populated by Muslims. But you have to look at her specific situation. Her fame, her core audience, and her professional circles have always been heavily concentrated around non-Muslims.
When she rediscovered herself, coming out to accept it openly in that kind of environment was always going to be hard.
So if she says people bullied her, I believe it. The comment section alone is a testament to that.
To Adunni, you are welcome. There is no shaking. Whatever God wants to give you, no human being can take it away from you. Just remain steadfast in your religion.
And mind you, covering your body is a mandatory part of Islam. A Muslim must not imitate the lifestyle of non-Muslims. A Muslim woman is commanded to protect her modesty, and this is particularly crucial for a super beautiful woman like you.
My best advice to you right now is to find a grounded scholar. You need a trusted teacher you can easily ask questions whenever things are not clear, so you do not have to navigate your faith through public opinion.
40 days of not praying in congregation: while Islam places immense value on Salah in Jama‘ah and maintaining connection with the Muslim community.
40 days of not bathing: Islam places purification and cleanliness at the heart of a Muslim’s daily life.
40 days of not brushing his teeth: The Prophet ﷺ strongly encouraged the use of the siwak and maintaining oral cleanliness.
40 days without a balanced diet: Islam teaches moderation in eating and encourages us to take proper care of the bodies entrusted to us.
40 days of voluntarily confining himself: Islamic spirituality does not require inventing hardship for oneself. Even established acts of seclusion, such as I‘tikaf, have their own guidance and boundaries.

The intention behind this content is beautiful, but I believe the message could have been presented better. The people of the Qur’an should be depicted with the best of character and manners.
A few observations:
The manner of eating shown could be improved to better reflect proper etiquette and good character.
Walking while distracted by a device is commonly associated with phone users. Depicting someone behaving similarly while holding the Qur’an may unintentionally send the wrong message. It would be better to highlight the positive influence and benefits of engaging with the Qur’an rather than transferring the negative habits associated with phone use to it.
May Allah bless the content creators for their efforts in showing us the beauty of the Qur’an and grant them wisdom in conveying its message. Ameen.

APPLAUSE FOR MARYAM IBRAHIM DAN’ AZUMI, NIGERIA’S QUR’ANIC CHAMPION
I heartily congratulate Maryam Ibrahim Dan’ Azumi on her remarkable victory at the 46th King Abdulaziz International Qur’anic Competition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Emerging victorious in a competition featuring participants from 132 other countries is an extraordinary achievement. Her mastery of the Holy Qur’an, including memorisation, recitation, Tajweed and Tafsir, reflects years of discipline, sacrifice, dedication and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.
Maryam’s success is another powerful reminder of the enormous potential of young Nigerians to compete and excel on the global stage. Their achievements demonstrate what is possible when talent is nurtured through strong values, education, mentorship and family support.
I congratulate their parents, teachers and mentors whose sacrifices and guidance have contributed immensely to these outstanding accomplishments.
