It's built on AVAIL's ZK privacy layer and protects the strategies, positions and PnL of high-volume perp traders.
We've spent months speaking with whales, trading desks, market makers and digital asset funds who want to use Hyperliquid without the public exposure. They want privacy from competitors and copy-bots, without giving up their compliance obligations.
The cost is measurable. Our wallet study found copy-trading activity costs top traders a median 63 bps per trade. ShieldTX gives these traders the privacy they need, and brings more volume to Hyperliquid.

Why Hyperliquid, and why now?
Hyperliquid is where a lack of privacy costs large traders on every trade, and public exposure is holding back desks and funds who want to trade there.
After screening 332,317 wallets over 30 days, ShieldTX studied the impact of copy-trading on seven top perp traders and found a median execution loss of 63 bps per trade.
Hyperliquid can't capture the flow that needs privacy while every position remains public. ShieldTX routes that flow to @HyperliquidX, with the enterprise-grade privacy large traders need.

Every trade is placed on Hyperliquid from a brand-new Hyperliquid wallet. Nothing links the trade onchain to the trader, and nothing links the trades together. A full trading history is available to users for audits and compliance.

The problem is the existing solutions/workarounds aren’t enough.

We've been testing and refining ShieldTX with an early cohort of Hyperliquid whales, desks and funds since July. The product targets six-figure wallets and Hyperliquid builder code apps that want to enable shielding on perpetual futures.
A user deposits funds into ShieldTX, which are secured in a vault contract on Arbitrum. The user can trade any Hyperliquid perp market from their ShieldTX balance. When a trade is opened, ShieldTX creates a fresh Hyperliquid wallet for that trade and executes the trade on Hyperliquid. Proceeds return to the ShieldTX balance, ready for new trades or withdrawal. Users retain full access to their trading history for audits and compliance.
ShieldTX is the first product to launch on AVAIL’s zero-knowledge, privacy infrastructure.

At Avail, we have been busy building @ShieldTXxyz . In this blog post we write about the zkAppchain Nightshade which powers "shielded perp trading on Hyperliquid". Nightshade is a low-latency "commit-first, prove-later" UTXO ledger, which proves computational integrity using zero-knowledge proofs, without publishing transaction data in plaintext and settles state on Arbitrum.
