Several large wildfires continue to burn across CA. If your area's impacted by wildfires, limit your time outdoors to reduce exposure to smoke. If you must go outside, use a mask to protect yourself from smoke inhalation & check your area's air quality at airnow.gov.
Guam and CNMI: Do NOT turn on the appliances in your home if you see downed power lines in the area following Typhoon #Champi. Assume any downed wires are live, charged and dangerous. Report sightings to your local officials and keep your distance.
Areas affected by Typhoon #Champi are still experiencing power outages. If you're using a generator, be sure to only turn it on outdoors and keep it at least 20 feet away from your home. To reduce the risk of electric shock, keep the generator dry and protected from water.
Guam + CNMI: If your area is affected by flooding, avoid entering floodwaters. They may contain hidden dangers that can threaten your health and safety, like debris, downed power lines and sewage. These hazards are even more difficult to see at night. 🔗 ready.gov/floods
