Love this... I've had a few different seasons. Wrestling, then funnels, now chasing Napoleon Hill's lost books. Each one was the purpose for that season. The trick is being willing to let the old one go. xitter.gq/JamesClear/status/2117…
It's rare to find your purpose for life, so instead look for your purpose for this season. What lights you up right now? What's a good thing to dedicate this season of your life to? Perhaps more importantly, what purpose served you well in your previous season, but you have outgrown? Life is always changing. It's okay to pick a new North Star.

I heard about a famous person who recorded his own hologram eulogy to play at his own funeral... (I won't tell you who it was) A little while later, I was running an event for my 2CCX and Inner Circle members, and we did a session where we all wrote our own Eulogies! It was HARD... and emotional. I had a lot of insights from it, but the biggest one? I am already enough... That lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. It helped me to enjoy my journey a lot more, realizing that while I'm learning and growing on this journey... If I were to die tonight, I'd already be enough... (And so are you!).

For years I thought... if I could just be a state champ, I'd be happy. Then if I could just make a million dollars. Then 10. I kept hitting the goals... and I still didn't feel happy. Then I read Tony Robbins: "Success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure." Fast forward... every year I get to ask Tony ONE question. In 2022 I asked him how you actually change the subconscious... beliefs, values, identity... in yourself, your kids, the people you serve. He didn't answer the question I asked. He answered the one I NEEDED... live, on stage. Here's what happened... youtu.be/QE7WUZUxrXY

Vincent James spent 18 years on the run for a crime he didn't commit. The thing that got him caught was a book he wrote. I bought that book 20 years ago, and this fall I finally got him on a stage. The full interview is live on YouTube now: youtu.be/QW3N7_Q5x_M Thursday Nov 12, 9am PT, he's doing one free live event with me. No replay. Save your seat: 12monthmillionaire.com/regis…

Ya... a goal is just a wish until you finish something. Finishing is what gives you the belief to go do it again. xitter.gq/Codie_Sanchez/status/2…
You are not your goals. You are the things you finish.

I've spent somewhere between $12 and $15 million on old books... honestly I don't even know the exact number. It started when I got obsessed with Napoleon Hill. Then I found out there were collectors sitting on his UNPUBLISHED manuscripts. So my son Aiden and I rented a plane and flew out to meet a guy who'd spent 20 years gathering Hill's stuff. I bought his entire estate - over $2 million - and brought it all home to Boise to scan. Then I went after Hill's mentors... and the people around them. About 15,000 books in two years. People ask me why. My goal isn't to buy it and hoard it for myself... I want to buy it and SHARE it. I don't look at myself as an author. I'm a curator.

Stop waiting to be an “expert.” Start documenting. Your story in progress is more valuable than you think. My podcast started on a 10-minute commute, recorded on my phone. Steve J Larsen told me years later the first 45 or 46 episodes weren't very good. Nobody was listening yet, so it didn't matter. Three years in, tens of thousands of people were listening to every episode. What are you documenting this week?

I'd add one more... find ONE person who already has the life you want, and do what they say for a full year before you go looking for anyone else. The A+ people part gets a lot easier when you're actually doing the work. xitter.gq/thejustinwelsh/status/…
Want to own your future? - Find a city that energizes you. - Start working with A+ people. - Do your job exceptionally well. - Do it long enough to build a reputation. After that, the world is basically yours.

I once swore I'd NEVER do another event... Back in my old business, we sold 300 or 400 tickets to an event in Salt Lake City. I walked in and there were like 50 people in the room. Then I went to a partner company's event. 1,500 people were supposed to be there... fewer than 100 showed up. It was the most awkward, embarrassing, painful thing ever. So I told myself I was done with events forever. But about four or five months after we launched ClickFunnels, I felt that calling again... "you should do an event." And I couldn't shake one question... "What if we created a movement?" So we did. That became Funnel Hacking LIVE, and the first one was in Las Vegas in 2015. The calling doesn't go away just because the last attempt hurt... you just have to choose faith over fear one more time. What's the thing you swore you'd never try again?

The last piece of content I would ever share would include this: Some may disagree, but I 100% believe that the pull we feel to start a business and serve a specific group of people IS a call from God. We all have stewardship over somebody. Who were you called to serve?

When my wife and I were first starting out, we had $0 in the bank... Then my very first mentor, Mark Joyner, announced he was retiring from internet marketing. He was selling a $1,000 farewell package with everything he knew... even his source code. $1,000 was EVERYTHING to us. I watched every presell video. I stayed up listening to a six-hour teleseminar about it... and by the end all I could think was, "I have to have this." The next morning I told my wife I really believed it would change everything for us. She paused... and said, "OK, I trust you." So we called the bank, got our credit limit raised from about $500 to $1,000... and I bought it. It was the first time I'd ever invested real money in myself, and I became obsessed. That offer literally changed my life. A few years later Mark came to Boise and signed a copy of Mind Control Marketing for me... "to my number one student." When you finally put real skin in the game, you stop wandering and you're IN. What was the first thing you ever invested in that changed you?

A 21-year-old asked me for advice. I told him to unsubscribe from me. You can't have two Yodas. Pick one, put on blinders, and go. He was following six gurus and doing none of it. Me included. So I told him: pick the one whose life you actually want, do exactly what they say for 12 months, then come back. If that's someone else, unsubscribe from me today. Two Yodas and you get lost. One Yoda and you move. Which is harder for you: picking one mentor, or ignoring the rest?

Yesterday I told you about my potato gun DVD... here's what happened next. I woke up one morning and my Google ad costs had jumped from 25 cents a click to almost $3.00... overnight. Suddenly it was costing me about $50 in ads to sell one $37 DVD. So I turned off my ads and spent the next few weeks feeling sorry for myself. Then my friend Mike Filsaime called. "Hey, man. Have you recovered from the slap yet?" I told him no... I'd turned everything off. "Dude, we figured it out." He told me McDonald's barely makes anything on the burger. The real profit is in one magic question... "Do you want fries and a Coke with that?" I said, "But what would I sell? I only have a potato gun DVD." "After they have the DVD, what else could you do to serve them?" The biggest complaint I got was that people had to go hunt down all the pipes and parts themselves... so I found a guy in northern Idaho who made kits, and offered a $197 kit right after someone bought the DVD. About one out of three people said yes. My average order went from $37 to $102... and I turned the ads back on and made MORE than before the slap ever happened. That was my first funnel... and I didn't even know it yet. If your ads stopped working, the ads might not be the problem. You might just have only one thing to sell. So what's YOUR fries and a Coke?

People don’t buy the best product. They buy the best story. Once you understand something deeply, the temptation is to sell it with facts and technobabble. The logic that sold you won't sell them until they've felt the same epiphany you did. So tell them the moment it clicked for you. What's yours?

I once heard that a famous person had recorded his own eulogy to play as a hologram at his funeral someday... (I won't tell you who it was) At our "mastermind in paradise" a few years ago, I did an exercise for myself... and then our whole community. The night before, I wrote my eulogy... Then the next day I had everyone at the event write their own. And it was hard - for all of us. The biggest ah-ha that I had from the experience, was realizing that we are already enough now... Chasing the goals and achievements are fun... but the only thing that really matters, is who you become on the journey. If you wrote yours tonight, what's the ONE line you'd want in it?

When a funnel isn't converting, everyone wants to blame the offer... But a lot of the time the offer is fine. The problem happened earlier. If the Hook doesn't stop them, they never hear the Story. And if the Story doesn't build the belief, the Offer looks weak... even when it's AMAZING. Hook, Story, Offer. Fix them in that order. Which one is breaking in your business right now?

Goals win once... systems win every time. That's the whole reason I fell in love with funnels. You build the Value Ladder ONE time, and every new customer gets walked up it. xitter.gq/Codie_Sanchez/status/2…
Make goals if you want to win one time. Use systems if you want to win every time.

My junior year of high school, I told EVERYONE I was going to be a state champ... I trained all summer for it. Then in the very first match of the season, I drew the kid who took second in state the year before... and he beat me bad. At school people asked, "I thought you were gonna be a state champ?" At practice it was, "I thought you were the team captain. What happened?" Every comment made me want to shrink... But, my dad had filmed the match. That night he watched the tape over and over... probably for the next 10+ hours. The next morning before school he put me on the carpet and said, "Ok Russell, I know exactly what he did to you." We drilled it every night for four months. Four months later I met that same kid in the state finals... And not only did I beat him, I beat him with the same move he had beaten me with. The trials are what make you worthy of the goal you're going for. What's the pain that you're turning into fuel right now?

Most people build an audience and then make an offer. The wealthy build an offer and then build an audience around it. The sequence is everything. I learned it with a potato gun DVD. We made the product first, then went to Google and bought ads at about 25 cents a click to find the people already searching for it. About $10 a day in ads, about one sale a day. Which did you build first?
