A nation built from the ashes by its own people, we are immensely proud of our religion and will never allow those who utilise it for personal gains. We shall raise our children as Muslims and continue to prepare future leaders. Islam is the religion of peace and harmony. Somalian nationalism has nothing to do with Islam. As a Somalilander, I am really glad that our girls have the right to peaceful environment, a proper education, and God willing, they will be Somaliland's future leaders. The tranquilly that exists in Somaliland has enabled these girls to receive proper education.

For over 30 years, Somaliland has sought resolution with Somalia for an amicable separation. Despite Somalia's “midnimada Soomaaliya waa Muqaddas” (unity is sacred) stance, no suggestions for progress were offered.
The Somaliland government is diligently working to fulfill the people's aspirations, paving the way for the nation to become the 55th African country.
