Not everything needs to be public onchain. For example, when companies pay salaries onchain, employees can potentially see how much their coworkers are getting paid just by tracking their wallets. Same goes for investments. If you know a project's receiving wallet, you can easily track who's investing and how much they're putting in. Imagine one person investing $10K and another putting in $100K. Does everyone really need to know that? Sometimes it just makes things awkward. Transparency is great, but that doesn't mean every financial transaction needs to be public. That's why I'm becoming a bigger fan of confidential payments. 🍎
