In honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day, the word of the day is “tradition.” Together with our friend Zahn McClarnon we honor Indigenous people around the world and the many ways they share their culture and traditions every day. #IndigenousPeoplesDay

Poehling’s right knee hyperextends after hitting the post
Most likely a bone bruise and a day-to-day to week-to-week timeline
Can injure ACL and/or PCL during hyperextensions as well but I don’t think this play is that severe

Myles was a member of the original Mighty Ducks team. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends and former teammates.
The NHL Alumni Association is devastated to learn that Myles O’Connor has passed away at the age of 59.
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Myles was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the third round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft and began his college hockey career at the University of Michigan that fall.
Myles played four years for the Wolverines and served as co-captain in his senior season. Myles joined New Jersey’s affiliate club in Utica after the end of his final collegiate season in the spring of 1989. After a full season with Utica during the 1989-90 season, Myles made his NHL debut with New Jersey the following season on November 18, 1990. In just his ninth career game on January 12, 1991, Myles scored his first career NHL goal.
Myles played with the Devils’ organization until the conclusion of the 1992-93 season, before joining the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for the 1993-94 season. Following his time with the Ducks’ organization, Myles’ professional hockey career continued in North America before playing one season in Japan in 1997-98.
Myles’ son, Logan, is currently a forward for the Colorado Avalanche.
We send our deepest condolences to Myles’ family, friends, and former teammates during this incredibly difficult time.

Leo Carlsson has passed Paul Kariya for most career points with the Ducks before age 22. Carlsson has 148 career points to Kariya's 147 points at that age.
Leo's 7 points also passes Troy Terry for the most through 3 games in Ducks history. Also the first Duck with 5+ assists in first 3 games.

A mother and her two young boys were trapped inside an SUV after it crashed into a creek and started sinking.
She was able to get herself out, but her boys were still inside.
Five college girls driving to Savannah happened to see the wreck and immediately pulled over. They ran down to the water and started helping, getting the older boy out first.
Then they realized the 4-year-old was still trapped underwater in his car seat.
By the time they reached him, he had been submerged for several minutes and wasn’t breathing.
One of the girls had worked as a lifeguard, so she started CPR right there.
A short time later, the little boy began breathing again.
The five girls were Molly McCollum, Jane McArdle, Eleanor Cart, Clarke Jones and Kaitlyn Iannace.
They had simply been on their way to a weekend away.
Instead, they stopped and helped save an entire family.
Special thanks to @ZachCav, @Derek_Lee27 for their great Ducks coverage. Their insights and interviews are second to none. Great follows.

The move is corroborated by today’s AHL transaction listings, with Lucius being recalled and Luneau being added to San Diego.
Ducks aren’t practicing today, just off-ice workout. So could just be shuffling paper around.

Per the NHL media site, Cruz Lucius is on the Anaheim Ducks roster and Tristan Luneau is not

Looks like Stian Solberg, Noah Warren and Nico Myatovic have been reassigned to AHL San Diego. All three are no longer on the Ducks roster, per the NHL Media website.
Could be a positive on the health fronts of A.J. Greer and/or Drew Helleson.

At the end of the day, our opinion of who should be captain is really irrelevant because we’re not in the locker room. If the players are stoked, then so am I.

People can dunk on this all they want but I’ll take this over women sitting around bitching about their husband all day long.
It’s the one man in your life you were able to pick to be your best friend for life. Marriage should have this energy.
