I just came back from a Nigerian wedding. I danced so much... I interacted with new people. I cleared my head.
At the end I waited and helped them clean up...I cleaned, Swept, arranged the hall... felt fulfilled
I'm just getting to my house... its been a while I went out

Yesterday, I carried a little of home onto the stage at SBC’s Moving event.
Before hundreds of people from different races and backgrounds, I performed my homecoming monologue. Many had never known the world I described, yet they recognised something of themselves within it. They laughed at my humour and found familiar feelings beneath an unfamiliar story.
There is something quietly beautiful about that: a story can carry the accent of one place and still find a home in another.
Yesterday, I invited an audience into my world. Today, I am exploring Hull, letting another city introduce me to its own.
The artist tells a story, then steps outside to become a listener again.
Thank you, SBC, for the stage, the welcome, and the space to belong. ❤️

Ready for Pick Up.
The more the damage
The more the time it will take.
Thanks guys for the trust.🙏
My husband and I used to have this little disagreement whenever we filled in forms and they asked for our place of birth. 😂
He would say Great Britain. I would say Ilesha, Nigeria.
But honestly, the difference in people’s reactions is something I’ve noticed.
When we went to register our son’s birth, the moment my husband mentioned Camden, the woman’s whole face lit up. When I mentioned Ilesha, the reaction felt different. Maybe it was just my perception, but it made me think.
It’s interesting how two people can be raising children in the same country, building the same life, yet their birthplace can influence how they are perceived.
Does where someone was born really shape how others see them?
Besides the quoted post is terribly sad
I’d genuinely love to hear different perspectives on this.

Lil kesh, bring back those raw unfiltered music jooor omo iya mii
I need Lil Kesh to make a comeback, but not as a reinvented version of himself. I need the raw, unapologetic, unfiltered Lil Kesh who gave us street anthems.
I’ve always believed Lil Kesh was a victim of a generation that enjoyed his music in private but judged his expression in public.
Lil Kesh doesn’t need to find a new sound, he needs to remind the world why his old sound was impossible to ignore.
bring back that emi keshi… iranu.. abacha gbedu back abeg
