Blinked? That was 10 blocks on Somnia.
What’s your chain’s block time?
⚡ @Somnia_Network blocks have stayed under 100 ms for 44 days straight.
That's at least 10 blocks every single second.
Can your favorite chain do that? 👇

More data opens the door to more onchain markets.
Alongside integrations with partners like @StorkOracle, we’re building price feeds and oracle infrastructure to bring more real-world information onchain.
The result: more possibilities for new asset classes and markets.
What market would you like to see onchain?
DreamFly just launched on @dreamDEXSomnia, giving traders more access to automated strategies across Spot, Event Contracts, and Perps on testnet.

Should a DeFi protocol have the ability to freeze or reverse your assets?
After the past few weeks, it's a fair question to ask of any protocol.
For Somnia, two north stars guide everything we build: non-custody and no unilateral control. Not always the easiest choice, but the one that stays true to DeFi.
This week on Build in Public, Somnia's VP of Legal, Elvin Folkebrant Sababi, will break down what it takes to build DeFi that stays true to its purpose, and why legal has a seat at the product table.

3. Next up: retiring the vanilla explorer
“Somnia Markets is one of our most exciting products right now.
And the new explorer.
The current one is pretty vanilla. The next one is built to show the full picture: core chain, trading, inference, and account protocols.”

A lot is happening behind the scenes
More soon
DeFi has a stack problem.
Same market data providers. Same oracle rails. Same chain forks. Same latency ceiling.
When you’re using off the shelf tech, you can only innovate within what those pieces support.
This week on Build in Public, Somnia CTO @RJFWhite will break down that gap, and highlight what becomes possible when you own the stack end to end.

We’ve spent much of 2026 rebuilding Somnia’s foundations.
Now, the focus is shifting towards making what we’ve built accessible, bringing it to market and preparing for what’s next.
For this week’s Building in Public, we sat down with our CEO, @lippylipka, to unpack his three biggest priorities.
Here’s what he shared 🧵
3. Looking towards 2027
“I’m also spending time planning for 2027.
2026 has been about getting our core in order: restructuring, rebuilding and putting the right technical, operational and team foundations in place.
2027 is about building on that base, with more room to innovate and experiment. That’s what I’m excited about.”

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes at Somnia, and we’re going to be sharing more of it.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be speaking directly with the people building our infrastructure, products and ecosystem.
