Matt arc over the last six months: “Stevens is more electable” → “AES can’t win Michigan” → “OK, he won, but not by enough.” Heads I’m right, tails you’re wrong. Ideological dogma masquerading as analysis.
The reason I harp on this relative performance stuff is that we have top political consultants and major journalists telling the world that we need to copy one specific candidate to learn how to persuade young men, but young men swung more in AK, IA, KS, MS, NC, OH, and TX!

Schumer didn’t flip them. The local organizers did that, you prostrating worm.
Schumer flipped literally every seat that was actually difficult. Leftists flipped...Maine, a blue state, in the biggest blue wave of my lifetime. Schumer won Mississippi, Iowa, and probably Alaska. Leftists won zero elections that anyone with a pulse and a D next to their name wouldn't have taken down

Harm reduction has suffered dreadful definition creep being transplanted from addiction to politics. It was already squishy as is - now it just means “vote.” No policy, no promises even. Just blind fealty in the vain hope Democrats aren’t complicit
White “revolutionaries” cannot comprehend the concept of harm reduction because their lives will be largely uneffected no matter who wins. Their lives aren’t in danger so they don’t see the value in voting for anyone that isn’t a perfect candidate

Judge Tish James by who she goes hard for
Attorney General Letitia James has words for anyone “drunk on power” who decides to run against Rep. Hakeem Jeffries: you gotta get past her and the neighborhood first. “We’re going hard,” she says. “We’re going hard for our speaker.”

Chuck Schumer refused to endorse Zohran Mamdani for mayor. He also never said anything about Rep Ilhan Omar’s house being raided. Schumer has no place in Democratic Party leadership.

shut the fuck up. your life is not going to be affected one iota by trans women playing sports, you’re just looking for an acceptable outlet for bigotry. we have to stop pretending this is anything more than Othering
not to be too centrist, but i think the most frustrating part abt the trans sport discourse is that no one has any idea what theyre talking about. this is a sort of complicated biology question, and everyone thinks they can solve it by thinking abt it for a few minutes

We all came of age in a society that hates willing consensual sex if women or gay men are the ones having the fun. Similar to ‘the cruelty is the point’, it’s about enacting power and not pleasure
can't stop thinking about George Michael and how much he loved sex and how much sex he had and how pilloried he was for that, when there were so many literal rapists operating in plain sight at the exact same time

Dude is doing this after a generational rout on the back of an affordability agenda. He’s gotta fucking go.
NEW: Chuck Schumer is preparing to lead the Senate with a network of former aides lobbying for private equity—including two former policy chiefs and his top health adviser. Their clients include Blackstone, Apollo, and the industry’s top trade group. readsludge.com/2026/11/06/th…

When George Floyd was restrained and asphyxiated to death, the bodycams were on.
It’s time for ICE to take the masks off, turn the body cameras on, and start answering to the American people who pay for their bloated budget.

Mamdani was asked whether he still supported Jeffries for speaker after the Kushner meeting became public. He said: “I continue to support congressman Jeffries in his bid to become the leader.”

Bernie won fewer votes in 2020 because opposition to the frontrunner was split among 5000 opponents, denying him the opportunity he had in 2016 to consolidate it and polarize the campaign. No evidence his positioning on identity played a role either way.
“They’re going to sound like Bernie in 2015” is the way to go here. He had an economic populism w heterodox cultural views (guns and immigration) tested by decades of elections. The Early Woke Dems beat him with a more identity-focused campaign that turned out to be a generational disaster. And Bernie moved left on identity stuff in 2020 to win fewer votes.
