✊🏾✊🏻✊🏽
The UAW and labor supporters from across the community came out to Local 31 in Kansas City on Tuesday to rally with Emotiv workers organizing to form their union. While workers at the parts supplier have bravely exercised their protected concerted rights, the company is rolling out illegal union-busting intimidation tactics in an attempt to defeat the organizing drive. Yesterday, the Kansas City community sent a message to Emotiv: We're standing with these workers through thick and thin until they win! A big thank you to everyone who stood with these brave Emotiv workers, including UAW Local 249, Local 710, Local 2250 (Wentzville, MO) SEIU, AFGE, Stand Up KC, and UAW Region 4 Director Brandon Campbell ✊✊✊

Over the past two weeks, several hundred #MOworkers joined their neighbors across the state — from Kansas City to St. Louis, and plenty of cities in between — to lay out our plan for a state budget that serves working people and our families, not a greedy elite minority!

#MOworkers and community members gathered in Kansas City over the weekend for a memorial and teach-in hosted by @IREHR to reflect on the brilliant legacy of Leonard Zeskind. Leonard was a dear friend, ally, and mentor to MWC who passed away in April.

❌👑 MO lawmakers and President Trump are acting like dictators: abducting our neighbors, occupying our cities, and stealing away our political representation. #NoKings

🗣️#MOworkers across races, places, and genders REFUSE to be divided! It’s no coincidence President Trump and MO lawmakers are targeting KC’s 5th congressional district — building on an ugly legacy of racial and economic segregation along the Troost divide.
