On his way to winning the Bundesliga and German Cup last season, Harry Kane scored 61 goals in all competitions. That was 19 more than any other player from a top European league. That tally was the most that any player has recorded since Cristiano Ronaldo hit 61 for Real Madrid over a decade ago. It was his second European Golden Shoe victory. Only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have ever won more. He reached 100 Bundesliga goals in just 98 matches, smashing a 49-year record set by Dieter Muller. No player was directly involved in more goals in the Champions League (14G & 2A). He bagged 10 in the cup, including a hat-trick in the final. In the World Cup, he averaged a goal involvement every single game. In total, he sits on 527 career goals. That’s the most of any player still active in a top league. Not to mention that he’s surpassed 100 assists too. He remains England and Spurs’ all-time top goalscorer. One of the most deserved Ballon d’Or victories of all-time.

Harry Kane becomes the first player to play under Sam Allardyce and win the Ballon d’Or. Mentor.
