Mainnet upgrade Fermi has been successfully deployed on Verona.
This upgrade officially makes Verona a Quantum-Resistant-Blockchain
Verona proves what's true. @PQabelian keeps it private past Q-Day.
A fact about a person has a shelf life of a lifetime. The encryption protecting it has a shelf life that ends the day a quantum computer can read it, and that gap is what both teams are working on.
That's where the two fit. Verona proves the fact and signs it post-quantum. Abelian moves the value privately on a chain that was post-quantum from the start. The fact and the money it unlocks stay unreadable to anyone, now and after Q-Day.
The other day we had @BurntBanksy from @verona_dev on $LNOC
What's new with Verona?
They just launched a new stablecoin, with $100M in commitments, plus a quantum-resistance upgrade launched the day before, alongside Zcash, Algorand and Injective.

Verona is now in @CoinMarketCap’s Quantum-Resistant category too. A good way to head into the weekend.

Verona retweeted
Most stablecoin launches beg you to hold the token. When I asked @BurntBanksy why anyone should hold $verUSD, he told me not to.
What @verona_dev is building instead:
- A dollar built for AI agents paying for verified data
- The goal is for the stablecoin to be invisible. You just see dollars
- $100M+ in launch commitments, $60M+ of it signed revenue set to flow through verUSD
- His prediction: big brands, even Starbucks, will launch their own
Anthony, which brand moves first?

Thrilled to share that verona:native is now part of @coingecko's Quantum-Resistant category, alongside @Zcash, @injective, @Algorand, and more. Good company for a long road.

Verona blockchain goes quantum-resistant.
@verona_dev, a layer-1 blockchain built using the @cosmos SDK and serving as an "intelligence layer" for AI agents, enterprises, and consumers...
... has just implemented its Fermi upgrade on Verona mainnet.
The upgrade implements the leading US Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) for quantum-resistant cryptography directly into its network...
... effectively future-proofing the chain and setting it well ahead of nearly all other L1 networks.
Validator keys will move to ML-DSA and consensus itself goes post-quantum once two-thirds of voting power rotates.
FN-DSA (Falcon) joins once NIST finalizes FIPS 206.
Quantum resistance was always a migration problem, not a cryptography problem. Verona built accounts so the migration never has to happen.
