VESPR v4 ships today and marks a new era.
New look. Faster. Rebuilt for what's next.
Bitcoin support incoming.
Nobody legit will ever ask for your recovery phrase.
Not VESPR support. Not a "Cardano admin" in your DMs. Not a site that wants to "validate" or "sync" your wallet.
Anyone asking for it is trying to empty your wallet. Block and move on.

Cardano addresses aren't made for humans.
Save one once in VESPR contacts, give it a name, and pick it from the list next time you send.
Less copy-paste. Fewer second guesses.

ADA holders now have a standard way to say what they think about governance actions.
CIP-204, merged last week, records a Yes, No or Abstain from any holder on chain, signed with their stake key. DReps still cast the votes that count, but holder opinion becomes public and countable.
It's a metadata standard, so answering depends on wallets and governance tools adding support.

Staking ADA doesn't lock anything.
Your ADA never leaves your wallet. No unbonding period, no slashing. Spend it whenever you want and the rest stays delegated.
The only catch: first rewards take about 15 to 20 days. After that they arrive every epoch, every 5 days.

Got a new phone?
Before you reset the old one, make sure you have the recovery phrase for every wallet in VESPR, written down somewhere safe.
Your wallets don't come across with the phone transfer. On the new phone you restore each one with its phrase.
Keep the old phone as it is until all of them are back.

Scariest thing you can find on a phone this Halloween:
a screenshot of a seed phrase in the camera roll.
Write it down. Keep it offline. Let the ghosts have the cloud.

Hardware wallet users on VESPR web: Keystone, Ledger, or both?
And what should we make easier next on desktop?

Sesori is on desktop now. macOS and Linux.
The bridge is built in, so there's nothing else to install or keep running. Start a session at your desk, steer it from your phone when you leave. Same sessions on both.
It updates itself too.

You don't appreciate non-custodial until you've been custodial at the wrong time.
Ask anyone who lived through an exchange collapse.
EMURGO and Yoroi DReps de-register on 30 Nov. Together they hold around 600M ADA of voting power.
Delegated to either? Pick a new DRep before then to keep withdrawing rewards.
If that power spreads across smaller DReps, a few big voters stop deciding everything. Good for Cardano.
EMURGO & Yoroi DRep Update: De-registration on 30 November 2026
Further to our announcement on 3 August regarding our intention to de-register our DRep role in Cardano governance, the EMURGO and @YoroiWallet DReps will be formally de-registered on 30 November 2026.
If your wallet is currently delegated to either the EMURGO or Yoroi DRep, please delegate to another active DRep of your choice before 30 November 2026 to ensure you can continue to withdraw your staking rewards and keep your voice represented in Cardano governance. De-registration date may be extended further based on extenuating circumstances.
When choosing a new DRep, we encourage delegators to look for:
- A consistent voting record, clear public rationale, and accountability to delegators
- Long-term commitment to the Cardano ecosystem
- Broad commercial and technical expertise
- A balanced, pragmatic approach that weighs commercial, technical, and governance priorities equally
We would like to highlight DReps such as the @Cardano_CF, @nagamaru_panda , @phil_uplc , @SIPO_Tokyo and @SociousDAO , who have consistently demonstrated these characteristics.
How to re-delegate:
- Open your Cardano wallet and go to the Governance (or Delegation) section.
- Browse the list of active DReps or paste the DRep ID of your chosen representative .
- Confirm and sign the delegation transaction in your wallet.
- As always, governance delegation on Cardano is entirely non-custodial, and your ADA never leaves your wallet.
