This content, or, the best monuments in the world right outside my hotel door?

Drag Race watch parties at gay bars just don’t work anymore. I’m been watching it evolve in these spaces across the country for the last 15 years, and I’ve never seen audiences less engaged in the content. No one is here for this except the drag queen hosting it but she’s get $

Currently at a burger spot in Georgetown eating one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life but they blast nothing but Bruno Mars music at full volume nonstop.

We’ve had more than a decade of republicans campaign it like this instead of policy proposals and commitments to specific legislation. Just a decade of driving wedges between the voting public.
all this did was further motivate me to vote for TalaFREAKo!!!! 🙈🤪🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️

Yesterday I said, “I bet it’s like the Great Gatsby in there’ and now I learn this stunt was for guests (probably mostly donors) at a White House Halloween party.
A bizarre stunt where a U.S. military aircraft conducted an alarmingly low flyover of D.C. for Donald Trump’s Halloween party has backfired spectacularly. thedailybeast.com/trumps-gha…

One third of American voters are fine with their tax dollars just…..going to billionaires instead. 🤷🏽‍♂️
I will never understand how so many of y’all were hoodwinked into believing the government should not use the money you pay in taxes to create a social safety net that benefits you, fund public healthcare, lower housing costs, and make daily life more affordable.

Smart work by Vance to plant this question and soft launch his strategy for the next two years of getting this question. (and if not planted then smart work to have his answer loaded)
College student confronts JD Vance: "In 2024 I cast my first ever vote for you and President Trump because of your promises for real change on immigration, affordability, government accountability and foreign policy, particularly an end to the costly the foreign wars of the old Republican establishment... Many of us, myself included, feel like those promises have not been fully realized, especially now that we're in another conflict in the Middle East again... Why should we trust Republicans with 2 more years to deliver the change we voted for?"

It’s like the Great Gatsby in there I bet. All kinda shady shit going down.
My last few years in DC, the White House perimeter is getting pushed further and further back (pedestrians can barely see it now) but at the same time there’s always some kinda party going on at the complex. Always a line outside a security check gate with people dressed up.

Don’t ya wanna have access during cool moments like this. There’s literally party music in the background. They’ve made it harder to get close to the WH so they could sell it off to the bourgeois class.
AF1 circles back over the White House tonight after its initial Halloween flyover.

Of course none of this would’ve been made possible if not for social media creating an ecosystem around viral moments and fomo. Fascinating study in current American culture.

Heard it from my hotel room. Sounded like a plane was about to crash in the middle of the neighborhood
I’m probably being that person, but that flyover in DC right now was very scary. Essentially no heads up that it would be happening and it sounded like a regular commercial plane (AF1 essentially is). I don’t mind jets but I actually thought a plane was going to crash

Yet the democrats lost to him twice. 🤷🏽‍♂️
Trump: I'm the only president to pass. I passed 3 cognitive tests. And they're hard. They have a lion, a bear, a snake, and a camel. They say, which one is the snake? It's a very powerful test, very highly respected test, very well known test, 30 questions, very hard. I passed it all 3 times. I aced it

Trump says stuff like this so often because he thinks that’s how stupid people think. He’s trying to connect.
Trump on solar panels: "They kill all the animals. The animals jump on them and they fry."

He would’ve been the FUNNIEST stand up comedian in history. If only his father had hugged more.

Didn’t see a single republican inside the Cheesecake Factory across the street from the White House (yes, that’s a thing).

Stop holiday creep!
I don't have kids so you can ignore my opinion if you'd like, but I think a month full of trunk-or-treats is dumb and has watered down the spirit of Halloween. It all felt so much more special when it was one night of going house to house in (likely) a homemade costume.
