The vaults curated by Bitwise do not have exposure to Binance and we have confirmed that the collateral assets that our curation strategies work with are not affected.
It appears that DeFi was relatively untouched though there is currently a flight to safety and liquidity is tight across many major lending markets.
We continue to monitor the situation.

Update on the reported Binance hot wallet incident.
Collateral: No collateral backing our vaults is affected. This includes Figure, OnRe, Huma, Avant, InfiniFi, Tori, Re, Obligate, f(x) and Coinshift and others across all chains.
Indirect exposure: Some of the protocols we allocate to hold positions in Ethena assets. Ethena’s potential exposure to Binance is below $10M and falls within the coverage of its insurance fund (over $60M).
Liquidity: Withdrawals from our vaults are operating normally. Some Morpho markets may see reduced liquidity and higher volatility in the near term.
We have been monitoring the situation closely since the first reports emerged, and our risk team will continue to monitoring positions diligently.

Binance is reported to have suffered a significant hot wallet hack. We have been monitoring since the first reports. Tether and Circle have frozen a significant amount of USDT and USDC linked to the incident. Ethena, Maple, mF-ONE, FalconX and other collateral issuers onboarded to Steakhouse vaults on all available chains have confirmed no impact. Our only indirect exposure is to Ethena, which has confirmed limited potential impact ($8.8M) via unrealized basis positions, fully covered by the reserve fund ($60M) in a worst-case scenario if there is a failure to realize.
Our systems have triggered, on a precautionary basis, to withdraw liquidity from a number of markets. We are reviewing these manually and will release throughout the next few hours.
The situation is fluid and may evolve rapidly. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as we receive them.
