I’ve seen a lot of team walks and pep rallies. Illinois tops the list. When I say this is a CANNOT miss, I mean it. One of the best displays of collegiate tradition I’ve seen on the tour.
2.5 hours before kick. Grange Grove. Be there. Every time.

Using KenPom’s formula, Illinois used 87 possessions in tonight’s win against Penn. It’s the most possessions in a game in Underwood’s #Illini tenure - including OT games!
Underwood casually mentioned at the end of the postgame press conference that he wants to get to 90. 😳
I’m not there tonight. Tyler is covering the game for IlliniBoard. So this is your yearly reminder at the start of the season: follow @TylerCott.
Zavier Zens auditioning for the job of manning the Jake Davis corner. He’s got two threes from the spot already. #Illini
We discussed the 1994 NCAA tourney game against Georgetown in this episode & I wanted to put some stats to it:
Georgetown was a team of bigs (Othella The Big Fella & Don Ried). Their starting guards both shot under 30% from three. And then they hit 6 of 8 threes and won 84-77.
You kids won't understand this but teams shooting lights out from three used to be our thing in the NCAA Tournament. Georgetown in 1994, some guy named Sarunas Jasikevicius for Maryland in 1998, Notre Dame shooting 55% from three in 2003. So many "how is this happening?" games.
Just in time for basketball season.
