Front-Running Protection: ON. Your order shouldn't become someone else's signal. Order details stay encrypted while pending. Once confirmed, the resulting trade remains verifiable onchain. Encrypted before. Verifiable after. Now live on Decibel.

In March, the SEC concluded $APT is a digital commodity. Now, @AptosLabs and five other blockchain organizations have submitted a joint comment letter that commends the SEC's work and asks it to reflect the "digital commodity" classification in the rule text itself.
In March, the SEC concluded APT is a digital commodity, not a security. Aptos Labs joined @hedera, @AvaLabs, @StellarOrg, @Cardano_CF, and @chainlink in a joint comment letter to @SECGov on proposed Regulation Crypto Assets, asking it to codify that in the rule text.

The letter also asks the SEC to make clear how its approach to secondary market transactions applies to digital commodities. The March interpretation: sec.gov/files/rules/interp/2…

Encrypted Mempool is now live on @DecibelTrade. Traders can opt in to encrypt their order details (the function called and its inputs) while the transaction is pending. Validators order the block without being able to read the order details, which are decrypted only after the block is finalized. Designed to lower the risk of MEV attacks, with every trade still settled onchain on Aptos.

Rendering is becoming less tied to where compute lives. @pictor_network is building a distributed 3D rendering network across changing compute. Their engineering team described onboarding to Shelby as “exceptionally smooth and straightforward.” The bigger story is what that consistency enables once the workload is running: “Shelby’s data layer keeps the assets behind every render accessible across distributed compute, giving Pictor’s users a consistent way to work with their data as compute moves. We’re excited to explore how this can support more flexible, scalable 3D rendering and AI workloads.” Flexible rendering starts with a consistent asset layer.

Where $APT tokenomics stand after the updates first proposed in February. Approved through onchain governance: • Gas fees set 10x higher • Staking rewards halved from 5.19% to 2.6% • Supply hard-capped at 2.1B APT Per @blockworksres, burns now cover ~10% of issuance, up from 0.2% under the previous gas rate, and daily transactions doubled after the change.

Blockworks Research dug into Aptos' tokenomics updates—from the burns to the onchain activity behind them. Read their full breakdown 👇
1/ Aptos tokenholders overhauled APT’s tokenomics through governance votes in under a month, and the network now generates more from gas fees, which it burns, than it pays its operators. Token Holder Net Income (THNI), a Blockworks Research metric, turned positive in May and has held since, while Ethereum and Sui still run negative and Solana sits only marginally positive.

Confidentiality on @Aptos now spans three layers, all live on mainnet: • Identity: Keyless Accounts • Amounts: Confidential APT • Intent: Encrypted Mempool Each targets a different part of what's visible onchain. Each is opt-in.
