The anti- Gen Z- BJP’s regime in @mybmc has started distributing land parcels of open spaces and playgrounds to its MLCs and funders in Mumbai. This land loot by the CM for his friends is shocking, and yet not so. One wonders what is the hurry and the worry that has pushed the CM to loot lands in Mumbai so openly for his friends. Or is it just BJP taking revenge for Gen Z and the youth stepping out to protest against its incompetence?

After this protest a few months ago, and a constant follow up by our Corporator Sampada Mayekar ji, today we can report that the @mybmc has agreed to our demand of cancelling the privatisation of this school. The school has been a @mybmcedu school, with a big plot and a small ground attached to it. The regime, in absence of elected representatives, had privatised it. We protested against it and today, we have ensured that the school will remain with the BMC. Now we will pursue the BMC to rebuild the school here, that will provide free and quality education to all those who enrol here.

This is a scam, “transplanting trees” from an ecosystem as mature as the Sahayadris in the Western Ghats. Why doesn’t the regime shift the project investment into battery storage project? No amount of such greenwashing will convince Maharashtra to let the CM sell off Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Sahayadris to his friends’ companies. This project doesn’t create jobs, and destroys the ecosystem. The alternative- Battery Storage is what the CM and his regime must try to look at. By simply destroying an ecosystem and then calling a hydro project/ pump storage “clean energy”, either the cm is being fooled, or he thinks the state can be fooled. Furthemore, when the cm speaks of the thermal power generation capacity, from coal, if he audits the coal plants across Maharashtra and closes down the coal washeries, the regime will see the energy loss scam. As far as the pollution goes, the Union regime has relaxed the pollution control norms for thermal power plants, allowing pollution blatantly!

Everywhere around the world, we see changes in governments and regimes. We see voters get a fair opportunity to strike a balance in governance. We see historic mandates changing hands. And we see some of the most technologically advanced countries trusting the paper ballot, still. We see protests, we see votes and voices that are not crushed, but respected by those holding the baton- however large or small they may be, regardless of where they are held- not just designated sites! And then in what was once the World’s Largest Democracy, no longer that now btw… We see a party that snatched the country’s democracy, with vote theft and election theft, trying to fiddle around a milk cooperative election where farmers voted against them! Similarly, we have political parties fighting for justice against the fraud election commission who assisted party theft. We see the police being used to brutally crackdown peaceful protests that ask for accountability from the Election Commission, and for fool proof exams and we have jokers seated in office, questioning the religion, the castes of people asking for better air quality. The world is showing that the citizens can never be bullied, they have to be heard! India has awakened to see the brutality of the regime, the insensitivity, the corruption, the mess in governance. Young Indians will reclaim democracy from the regime!

Maharashtra is reeling under the worst drought seen in over a century. Our cities and citizens are choking with the terrible pollution and AQI that’s beyond acceptable. It hits all of us- regardless of your religion or any other label! Yet what the bjp finds objectionable is only one of the 3 Mumbaikars posting a video- singling out @deespeak who made a video along with @ajinkyarahane88 and @MadhuriDixit for this Diwali 🪔 appealing all to celebrate the festival with joy, but exercising restraint with firecrackers- as per the Hon’ble High Court orders. Dia Mirza has always been a keen environmentalist and has spoken on issues that relate to our city/ state’s wellbeing on the environmental front. The absolute joker behaviour instilled into administration where, instead of the Mayor of Mumbai, standing up for a Mumbaikar like Dia- and speaking up for the environment, wellbeing of Mumbaikars, chose to actually side by a joker like objection only because of the surname and the environmental causes taken up. It’s a circus 🤡 vs @UN Goodwill Ambassador speaking for our city. Which other mayor in the world discriminates like this? Thankfully we all stood up against this bullying. Each time the regime calls you a dimaagi naxal, anti national, for standing up for the environment, call them out, stand for each other- we are fighting for our environment. The bjp regime is selling off Sahayadris to companies who will deforest the region- and every person in Maharashtra will fight this sell off! Will the regime tag us all in the same way?

The Bjp makes every administration they take over into a circus! Total clownery in the BMC, where the mayor and her bosses claim they don’t know what the administration does, whenever it goes wrong! Every other Mayor, globally is focussed on civic issues. Here the mayor’s focus has been on her car’s red beacon, residence renovation and now a citizen’s religion in a video message that was asked for by the BMC itself!

Imagine how the city runs! 1) The BMC asks a person to make a video with an official letter. 2) The person makes the video and posts it. 3) An MLA of the ruling regime wanting attention asks the BMC to remove it. 4) The mayor, who is blissfully unaware of the municipal corporation’s actions, expresses rage over it. 5) The video is taken down. 6) The deputy mayor from the ruling regime says there was nothing wrong with the video. ⛔️ Each time there’s controversy, the Mayor says she didn’t know!! Right from the red beacon of her car… to 5 crore expenditure on her residence… to the video by the social media team of the @mybmc - the same BMC she’s Mayor of! ⚠️ Show me one city in India, in the lost decade of India- run by bjp, that has progressed. Fact is: they can’t run any government at any level, thus they try to make it into a regime!
