Got round London Marathon in 4.45hrs, progress on 2025. The crowds were incredible, the experience exhilarating & humbling. I ran in memory of Laura for @NLondonHospice. I’ve raised £24k over 2 years, thanks to all you wonderful people for sponsoring me 🙏🏻 justgiving.com/page/beth-rig…
Sky News political editor @BethRigby has completed the London Marathon for a second time in honour of one of her childhood friends - and to raise money for the North London Hospice. Rigby says running the marathon has been 'quite satisfying'.

An immigration climbdown by @ShabanaMahmood? Yes, she had to compromise over care workers - that was predictable - but the other settlement changes are a really tough package of reforms. Great to discuss with @HarrietHarman & @RuthDavidsonPC on Electoral Dysfunction:
On this week’s pod with @HarrietHarman and @RuthDavidsonPC it’s not Trump world anymore, what does it mean for Burnham? Plus excellent discussion on immigration with journalist & former advisor @DannyShawNews

SCOOP: I've been leaked a draft of the Joint Statement due to be agreed at a major EU-UK summit on 20 November The EU's negotiating terms include: - no foreign criminals will be deported back to EU countries - more British cash if they want to join the EU's electricity single market - action on reciprocal export controls and tariffs around key industries (cough cough, probably steel) Sources tell @SamCoatesSky the UK govt won't agree to all demands - and the EU27 hasn't approved it yet either But will any of this survive that make-or-break summit in 2 weeks?
An EU-UK joint statement has been leaked. What's in it? Sky News has seen the draft EU negotiating terms for the make-or-break summit with Andy Burnham on 20 November. Deputy political editor @samcoatessky and producer @JackParkr look inside the main sticking points.

Elon Musk was among the biggest losers of election night. He doled out around $446 million — the most a non-candidate has ever spent on an election — but his preferred candidates were swamped, losing almost everywhere. politico.com/storyline/live/…

What a night and what a story! 🇺🇸 Good to see a real ‘Trump-branded’ watch in the flesh, Only 250 of this batch made. The US President made a cool $4.7 million from these. Affordability anyone? Big thanks to panel @erolmorkoc @hilaryr @robfordmancs & our amazing U.S. team.

The truly worrying aspect after a night of sensational results in the US mid-term elections, (described by one Republican as a ‘massacre’ for Trump’s Party) is that the world is now on tenterhooks about what the US leader is going to do now. He’s not known for being a good loser

.@JamesTalarico: We didn’t win by alienating our neighbors, or by shaming our neighbors, or by ridiculing our neighbors. We embodied a new kind of politics. A politics rooted in a deep love — for our state, for our country, and for all of our neighbors. My faith teaches me that love is the strongest force in the universe. Love is not passive. Love is not neutral. Love is not weak. Love requires that we stand between the bullies and the bullied. Love requires that we look evil in the eye and not blink. Love can heal what’s broken in America.

What do MPs know when they’re casting votes? Does Burnham need to move away from ‘soundbite politics’? And is ANOTHER Brexit referendum becoming unavoidable? @RuthDavidsonPC and @jessphillips discuss that and more in this week's Electoral Dysfunction members' episode.
