Date night at The Great Gatsby turned into a memorable night for one young man. We were delighted to welcome Ashley Westwood, captain of @CharlotteFC, and Rebecca Westwood to Belk Theater for their first visit to the Performing Arts Center! Before the curtain went up, a young soccer player recognized Ashley in the Founders Room donor’s lounge and introduced himself. What started as a quick hello became a conversation about injuries, recovery and staying committed to the game. A captain doing what a captain does. We're grateful Ashley took a few minutes out of a night with Rebecca to encourage a young athlete and make his evening unforgettable! Thanks for joining us, Ashley and Rebecca. We hope this was the first of many visits to Blumenthal Arts!
