You seem confused. Something bad happening on screen does not equal promotion of it, and it does not equal the audience finding pleasure in its occurrence.
And you seem to forget that the Bible is filled with very disturbing stories much the same. Did you also "enjoy" hearing Jesus getting flogged? Or did you feel the effect (empathy and sadness) of it?
Because horror fans feel the intended effect (fear) of what they see, not weird fetish-like enjoyment.
On the contrary, horror is a very healthy genre even for Christians. Almost every supernatural horror film is at least implicitly thematically Christian. And fear is a natural emotion that is enjoyable to explore in a safe way (movies, books, etc).
Not to mention it's a reminder of evil. A refresher of the enemy or the enemy's qualities.
Even Jesus felt anxiety and sweat with worry.
Have a Happy and safe Halloween, Christian or otherwise! This isn't a holiday to be prudish or judgemental. I don't think God wants us uptight and constantly nervous about what we should or shouldn't feel.
