“Animal” took the long road to becoming the song we know, taking nearly three years for it to come together. After Joe recorded a lead vocal in Paris over a drum-machine track, the band loved it so much that they kept it and completely rewrote and re-recorded the instrumental. Rediscover “Animal” on Volume 4, Album Three: Drastic Symphonies: defleppard.lnk.to/VolumeFour

#OnThisDay in Leppard History, 1987: The US Hysteria Tour kicks off in Glens Falls, NY, marking the debut of their "In The Round" stage - the first band to do so for a full tour. "It's such a buzz playing on that stage. You can spin around like an idiot and wherever you end up you're facing kids. We're a lot closer - you can actually see faces." - Phil
