Great to be at @Walmart’s headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas, and to see firsthand how American and Belgian businesses are building stronger transatlantic ties for THE best in quality for Walmart’s customers. After welcoming Arkansas Governor @SarahHuckabee Sanders to Belgium during an Arkansas trade mission in July, it was especially meaningful to stand beside her in Arkansas at a visit to Walmart on Friday. The partnership between Walmart and Belgian company Drylock Technologies is a great example of robust, reciprocal trade: Belgian innovation and investment supporting production of their diapers, which are now MADE IN AMERICA thanks to the Van Malderen family company Drylock’s investment in the United States. Expanding baby, feminine, and incontinence care manufacturing of THE finest in quality in the United States means more products made here, more choices for American families, and more good jobs for Americans. It was truly an honor to meet the new CEO of Walmart, John Furner, and two of his amazing senior team leaders Julie Barber and John Laney, who run all merchandising and food relationships for the global retail giant. We can’t thank them and Governor Sanders enough for organizing this critically important meeting which we know will lead to significant additional investment in the United States. It was great to hear Mr. Furner talk about his vision for the future growth of Walmart as it relates to AI, automation, and their ever important omnichannel growth. Mr. Furner and his team truly do embody the vision of Walmart founder Sam Walton, taking extra special care of all their customers and all 2.1 million of their great employees.
