This is how great civilizations throughout history have ended. People assume it was due to conquest, but it was actually often simply too much prosperity leading to low birth rate and population collapse, which ultimately enabled them to be conquered.

Experts say women today have way more freedom, better jobs, and cooler travel plans, so having kids just isn’t the automatic next step it used to be. Some politicians are freaking out, warning about empty schools, worker shortages, and Social Security going bust, while folks like Elon keep tweeting about civilization collapsing if people don’t have three kids.
